Michael  P." Mike" DePugh, age 63, son of Mary M. Collins DePugh and John L. DePugh, passed away September 7, 2005 at 7:45 p.m.after a brave battle with Cancer.

He was born June 1, 1942 in Ross County and was married to Patrica Ann Madru Corrigan who survives.

He leaves behind a daughter Kathleen Theresa DePugh of Dayton, two sons Danny L. Corrigan ( Cresta Shoemaker) of Englewood, Florida, Dennis DePugh of Chillicothe; two granddaughters, kaitlyn Corrigan of Florida and Kaycie DePugh of Chillicothe.

He is also survived by his mother, Mary M. DePugh; three brothers, Alvin ( Jeannie) DePugh, Larry Depugh, and John (Linda)  DePugh; three brother-in-laws, Junior Madru, David (Barb) Madru, and Stephen Paul Madru and two sister-in-laws, Barbara Madru Tarpen and Linda ( Roger) Madru, all of Chillicothe.

He was predeceased by an infant sister, Rosalee DePugh and an infant granddaughter, Amber M. DePugh; a sister-in-law Florence DePugh, a brother-in-law Charles W. Turpen, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Nancy Travis Madru and his father, John L. DePugh

He was a member of the Scioto Masonic Lodge No. 6, Free and Accepted Mason and all York Rites bodies of Chillicothe. He was a Special Deputy for the Ross County Sheriff's Department since 1965 and retired from the Mead Corporation after nearly 40 years of service.

A gathering of family and friends for a memorial service will take place at the Scioto Masonic Lodge No. 6, 57 East Main Street in Chillicothe on Sunday September 11 starting at 6 p.m. All are welcome to join in the celebration of Michael's life.

In keeping with Michael's wishes, he joined the Willed Body Program at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and was a gift for the advancement of medical education.

Mike DePugh was another of my Classmates who worked at Chilpaco. Mike was full of life and was well liked by those he worked with at Chilpaco. We were both on weekend duty team for many years.
