John Dressler

Dr. John Dressler, 57, of Centerville , formerly of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly Tuesday July 5, 2002 while running at the Centerville Americana Fourth of July Festival.

John was born October 21, 1942 in Chillicothe to the late Howard L. and Eileen Fulcher Dressler. On August 25,1973 he married Marcia Lindsey, who survives and resides in Centerville.

Also surviving are their children and dearest treasures, DEborah and Gregory, both of Centerville; sisters Nancy Dressler of Chillicothe, Carol Dressler, D.V.M., San Diego, California; brother James Dressler, Rochester , Minnesota; his aunt Wilma Wendelken, Dayton and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

As a young man, Dr. Dressler was an Eagle Scout. He later was graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1960. He then graduated with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ( MIT) where he continued his education until he received his Doctoral Degree in 1971. Shortly after his PhD, he worked locally for Mead Central Research. Most recently he was self employed an an electrical engineering consultant. Dr. Dressler was a member of the MIT Alumni Club and the IEEE.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 8th, 2000 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Haller's.
