Funeral services for Richard E. Goebel, has been schedued for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home, with the Reverend Jack Norman officiating.

Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today.

Richard E. Goebel ,32, of 305 East Water Street, died at 9;10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 1975 in University Hospital, Columbus, where he had been taken after an on the job accident at the Mead Corporation Chilpaco Mill, Friday afternoon.

He and Garry Robinson,24, of 479 Allen Avenue, were injured, when a pressure line they were working on blew up about 2:45 p.m.. Both were taken to Medical Center Hospital, where Robinson was discharged Sunday.

Goebel had been employed at Chilpaco for 14 years.

He is survived by his widow, the former Gladys Morgan, whom he married on February 5,1972; two children by a previous marriage, Jackie and Jeffrey, both of Chillicothe; his parents Edwin and Freda Miller Goebel, 400 McKell Road; and a brother Roger L. of Chillicothe.

Dick and I worked in the Finishing Room at Chilpaco for several years and then again in Quality Control Department. Dick was always fun to be around as he was always into something wild and enjoyed horseing around where he worked.
He was terribly missed after his untimely passing by all who knew him in the mill.
