Pam Ellen (Lewis ) Salamone,60, of Mountainside died Tuesday September 3 ,2002 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.

Born in Chillicothe, Ohio ,she had lived in Westfield for over 28 years and the past year in Mountainside.

Mrs. Salamone had been employed by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education as a special education teacher for 16 years before retiring in 2001. During her career, she taught at Elementary School One, McGinn Elememtary School, Terrrill Middle School and Park Middle School,

Earlier she had taught second grade at St. Joseph's School in Roselle for a year.

She was a 1985 graduate of Keen University in Union, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education..

Mrs. Salamone was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Westfield.

Surving are her husband, Louis Salamone; two daughters, Ellen Cagnassola of Fanwood and Heather Wolfson of Virginia Beach, Virginia and two granddaughters.

A Requeim Eucharist will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday September 7th , at St. Paul's Church.

The Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Avenue in Westfield is in charge of arrangements.
