D. Sharon Schofield, 81, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Thursday December 21, 2023 in CareCore at Westmoreland, following an extended illness. She was born on October 24, 1942 in Ross County to the late Donald G. and Violet (McCoy) Carmean. On September 20, 1968 she married Donald R. Schofield, who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Jennifer (Bob) Walker, Lewis Center, and Caroline (Harlen) Perry, Chillicothe, a son, Charles P.J. Schofield, of Chillicothe, a sister, Ginger L. (Bob) Collins, Columbus, a niece, Jamie Collins, a nephew, Aaron Collins, and a great-niece, Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her son, John Bradley Schofield, and sister, Helen Moreland.

Sharon graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1960. She was a bookkeeper for the Chillicothe Gazette, the secretary to the Assistant Principal of Chillicothe City Schools, and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a Thank You to the staff at Westmoreland and the NCR Hospice Team, for their care of Sharon.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday December, 29, 2023 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Chris Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to the hour of service on Friday.
