Joe Barrington passed away at 8 p.m. October 3, 2015. Joe was our Senior Class President. He was a very gifted and accomplished man. Further information will be posted as soon as I can verify it.
So sad to hear of Joe's passing. He was one of the good guys, always working as Senior Class President to make things better for all of us. Although we weren't close friends in high school, Joe always seemed to know who I was and treated me like I was a friend. It has been good to keep up with him on this site, he always had a new picture to share. Our prayers go out to his loved ones for they lost a good friend a great man. God Bless You Joe. Rest in Peace.
I am so sorry for Joe's family at his loss. I spoke with him last week and although he knew he would not live long, he was just as great as ever, not sorry for himself. Joe was always so alive in everything he did, and he continued to be such a caring person. Truly a great loss...
It was really sad to learn of Joe's passing. I echo Jim Bumgardner's thoughts and words. Joe was truly one of the Good guys. Even at our reunions Joe was at ease talking and sharing with all of us......We were blessed to have him as our Senior class President and as our lifelong friend......Joe will stay in our hearts forever. He was that kind of Special Guy.......Rest in Peace Joe.
I was greatly sadden to hear Joe had died. My thoughts and prayers are with Joe's family and friends. I will remember him as good man with kind words for all.
Joe was my neighbor in Chula Vista when I was a kid. We played together and attended school together. Joe's two siblings, Paul (Class of 1964) and Judy (Class of 1966), were friends of my two sisters, Sally and Donna. I have many wonderful memories of Joe. We played games in the summer (I especially remember the card game canasta). I am glad I got to have a chat with Joe in September when I was in California. Joe was one of the nicest guys in our class at CVHS. I will never forget him.
