Good evening- I got a call from Bobby about an hour ago. He wanted to call and thank me for sending all of you the information about his heart attack. He really appreciates and was touched by all of the people caring and praying for him.
Here is what he told me- still very weak-he is really tired, and get winded very easily. Julee told me that is stronger and better than yesterday. He told me that he only had to use the Oxygen tank this morning. That was a big thing to him(and us) He told me that he has to get stronger and has to build his lungs up. He told me that the doctors are going to try to make him as comfortable as possible. He also said that he and his family are planning on him getting stronger each day. We all know he will do everything he can to get better. That is what "fighters" do! The family knows he is not strong enough to have visitors yet. Perhaps in a week or two???The family will let me know and I will inform you.
He had a great attitude(what else would you expect from Bobby Kennedy?) and was so touched by all of you. His voice was strong and his tone was "I know I am in for a fight." Your positive thoughts, communications, caring, and prayers have really helped him. I told him that the rest of us were not ready for anything else but him getting better!!!
Thanks again and please share this information.-I will let you know more when I do. He always has been and always will be my hero. What a man!!!-Gary

Here is what I know. I will let you know more when I know more. Julee told me that Bobby was not feeling all that great on Tuesday, March 15. ring most of the day he was a little under the weather. Later in the evening, Bobby called her to come downstairs and that he was really starting to hurt and feel very uncomfortable. After assessing the situation and discussing things with her brother, the decision was made to call 911. They came and the paramedics took him to Scripps Hospital in Chula Vista. By then, he was in great pain. They put him in the ER and then admitted him to the hospital early this morning. They have been giving him some heavy duty pain medicine and it finally is making him more comfortable.
The doctors told the family that her had a heart attack. They are going to keep him there for a while. He is not allowed visitors or phone calls. They want to make sure there is no "pressure" on him or his heart. She will let me know something when she does.
Please say some prayers for one of the finest men I have ever met or known. There are lots of really good people in this world. There are a few "great ones." Bobby is one of the greats!!!!~
Bobby's address is 61 Casselman Place, Chula Vista, Ca. 91910-Julee's email( it will get to Bobby) is jakreilly@yahoo.com.
Please honor the families directives. I do not know how severe or what all this means other than our friend is 93 and no heart attack is a good thing. Pray for Bobby and his family. If people caring and loving someone can help people get well and recover, then Bobby is going to be okay. I do not know of anyone that is loved more than Bobby. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything!-Gary
