Cesar married Laurie Evans in 1973. They lived in National City. Their daughter, Elizabeth, was born in 1977. Their son, Michael Alexander was born in 1979.
Cesar and I became very good friends through the wrestling team. Like a lot of us then, Cesar was a quiet person and enjoyed his time at Chula. His last name his first two years at Chula was Castro.
We enjoyed alot of fun times together. Cesar was a strong young man and became a very good wrestler.
In our Senior year, our claim to fame was being backups to two of Chula's Greatest wrestlers. I backed up Ron Batty and Cesar backed up Roy Hahn. Thank goodness there were enough meets that Ron and Roy moved up a weight class letting Cesar and me wrestle so we could get our Varsity letter.
I believe we lost Cesar before our 20th Reunion. I was sorry to hear that news. He was a real nice guy.
