Ron Nibbe passed away on December 27, 2010.  Research indicates he has a daughter named Niki A. Nibbe.  He was a Professor of Central American Studies at California State University, Northridge.  He is listed on the national Modern Language Association (MLA) Memoriam Page.  

In 1970 Ronald Nibbe from Chula Vista, California, was a member of the second Venceremos Brigade to Cuba.^[1]
