School Story:
As I got my lifeguard certification the summer before high school, I had the wonderful opportunity to spend most of my phys.ed. time in the pool as a leader for the teachers (I couldn't have been happier!) I was a member of the swim club ( I still think of the swim shows we put on and how wonderful Mrs. Corwin was.) I was also in Czech club with Mr. Jandacek who was a great motivator.
I met Tom Samec the summer between freshman and sophomore years at Morton. He was then my steady guy through high school.
I spent the second half of my senior year in northern Wisconsin graduating from Lakeland Union H.S. in Minnocqua. However, it is my time at Morton that did soooo much to make me the person I am today. Mr. Musil was and is still living in Manitowish Waters up there. When I saw him at the local hardware store in town one summer I was soooo nervous talking to him! But, he couldn't have been nicer...I also came across Mrs. Corwin up north! I'll never forget how honored I felt when she asked me to call her by her first name, Leni!
I look forward to reconnecting with friends as the reunion. Thank you, Morton!
