Hi Jason, thanks for setting up this site. Do you have any info on the timing of our reunion next year?

Hey Denise thanks for the thanks...put out the word that this site exists, I don't quite know about when the reunion will be but, when it does happen I will let everyone know... Do you have a picture of yourself and your kids....

Jason- thanks so much for setting this up. I have thought of so many of our classmates and have wondered about them, what they do, and how they are. I'll spread the word with those that I do talk to.
I really hope to get back to PA for the reunion. Would love to catch up with you and others.

Thanks, Jason, so much for organizing this site!

I talked with Sue Foster Flynn today and we thought that the Saturday after Thanksgiving would be a good time for the Reunion. Does anyone have any suggestions for a location?

The class of 1988, said that the Inne of the Abingtons, was very accomodating... that is a thought. or that place in Waverly... how about the Waverly Country Club... Rob Whitakers folks might be able to give us a great discount.....

Jason, what a great idea! I agree, the Saturday after Thanksgiving would be good - a lot of people are in then visiting family. Let me know if I can help with mailers, etc.

Okay I know majority will rule but I was hoping we wouldn't pick the Thanksgiving weekend. Since it is a holiday I can't travel away from my family that weekend. I vote for the summer when the weather is nice and travel is easy.

I think Sue already thought about the Waverly Country Club. She said the problem there is the sponsoring club member has to be in attendance for the event. Does anyone know any classmates who might belong to one of the local clubs?

Doesn't Rob Whitaker belong.... I wonder if being that his parents are the owners if there was a way to bypass that.....

Hi guys,
I vote for the Sat. after Thanksgiving too. Either location you are thinking of sounds great. 1988 had a blast and a great turnout. Great site Jason!

Jason, thanks for setting this site up for all of us.

It is so nice to hear from everyone. I also vote for the Sat. after Thanksgiving. Many people will be in and with enough lead time, everyone can plan their travel as well as babysitters for the night.

Anywhere locally is fine. Maybe a local hotel, then people would have the option to stay there also - if need be.

Thanks to Sue and the reunion team for all their hard work. If you need any help, just let me know.
Laura

Happy New Year everyone! I agree with Laura that a hotel location would be a good option for those coming from out-of-town or those who just want to stay the night anyway. Please let me know how I can help..

Hi everyone,
Jason, thank you for putting this website together. You have no idea how many hours, days, weeks etc. you have saved in tracking people down! I'm sorry I have not gotten on the reunion bandwagon earlier, but my dad passed away in Sept 08 and I have not worked on any plans until now. Thanks to Tammy and Tracy for putting up with my lack of doing anything! In response to several messages on this site, I think we will try for the Sat. after Thanksgiving. I have heard mixed reviews about the class of 88's reunion at the Inne of the Abingtons. Price wise I think it is good but sometimes the food isn't. I had contacted Rob Whitacker's mom about the Waverly Country Club. They are not members there. They live there and cook for the members. She talked to the president and said that a club member would have to be there with us all night. So if anyone knows a member from any of the country clubs(Glen Oaks or Scranton) please let us know because we do need a sponser. Jenn Capwell's brother is the new manager at the Holiday Inn in Dunmore(off of Tigue St. exit). We had our wedding reception there and it was very nice- if people don't mind going out of the summit. Also, there is the newly renovated mansion in Scranton-the Colonnade- that looks very nice. My aunt had her reunion there and said it is beautiful inside but we may not all be able to sit together in one room. Also, please be thinking if you want something planned for the kids either the day before or the afternoon of the reunion. I know that the class of 88 rented out the Icebox for an afternoon. Please know that the reunion committee does not mind planning different events, but we need alot of help, support and most of all INTEREST from all of you. If alot of people don't turn out for the different events, than we have wasted much time and energy. We do this so we can see all of our classmates! Thanks for you input! Let's make our 20th reunion the biggest and best yet!!! Sue(Foster) Flynn

Hi everyone. It sounds like everyone here is leaning towards the Thanksgiving weekend. I was wondering if we could discuss the option of a summer weekend a little bit before making the final decision. The weather would be warm, travel would be easy, and we could have events outside. I am trying to get some feedback from the out-of-towners I know on Facebook. Before we get set on a date do you mind if I see what feedback I get? If others could help me poll some out-of-town friends that would be great.

Susan I am so sorry to hear about your father.
