Michael, so all we need now is for people from other classes from the elementary school's I uploaded so far, to email me their class photos, so we can get a total amount of students who went to those schools. That would be great if we could. It's so cool to see those cute little faces and try to recognize who they are and then see where they wound up.

I think people still get crazier than they should about dress codes. I agree that it's hard to know when to draw the line, but then reality and common sense have to be applied:
Despite the national shortage of nurses, I have known nurses to be sent home from work for wearing the wrong shade of navy blue. I was almost sent home because there was a dark design at the top of my white socks worn under navy blue pants (the dress code said "white socks").
I think it was NOT wrong when a nurse was sent home to change because her thong was visible under her white uniform, although ... some of the guys disagreed. LOL.

Sorry, but Taylor went to Roosevelt. I don't think I remember anyone at Roosevelt from Oxford, so I'm thinking maybe Monticello?

Fairfax to Roxboro

Roxboro to Roxboro

Some Canterbury to Roxboro

Some Coventry to Roxboro

Hey Mitchell - remember the other groups of people who went to Heights - were we that obscure?

Now I'm totally confused , but thanks guys. I'll check out that map, that should help. Besides this info...if ANYONE has photos in their boxes in their attics, or basements, or bookshelves, or wherever you keep them, any pics from elementary school classes, jr high school classes, reunions of anytime inbetween, if you could scan them and email them to me that would be great, I'm trying to fill up the Photo Album page with as much info as I can get. Thanks! It will be worth your effort, it's a kick to go backwards and check it all out.

I don't remember the kood-aid at Woodstock, hmmmmmmm.
I agree that it's good we're doing this now before our brains disintegrate any further.

I think Roosevelt got all of the Boulevard kids, part of Coventry, part of Taylor.
I agree that Taylor divided into Wiley/Roosevelt and I'm pretty sure Coventry divided into Roxboro/Roosevelt.

I agree with Anne.

Everyone from Boulevard went to Roosevelt. Taylor had students from both Cleveland Heights and University Heights...MOST of the UH kids went to Wiley and the CH kids went to Roosevelt. Coventry kids went to either Roosevelt or Roxboro, but I think most went to Roosevelt.

Hey...ALL of us ended up at Heights. Now that part is easy!!

Hi Steve Fox and Val.

You are right, some of us went to Wiley. I lived on S. Taylor between Cedarbrook and Tullamore and was told that the middle of the road was the border so I could go to either Roosevelt or Wiley. I Chose Wiley as it was closer and on the bus line easier since my mom didn't drive.

Val, thanks for all your hard work scanning in the photos. Your new scanner is great.

Sue, my new scanner works great. My new vista sucks big time. I HATE it! And all these elementary schools and jr high schools have totally confused me so now I have no idea what order to put the pictures in so you'll get what you get!!

01/18/09 09:17 AM #275

Shelley Hornik (Lloyd)

Val...it really doesn't matter what order you put them in. Of course *I* think the Taylor and Roosevelt pics should be first:)

01/18/09 08:37 PM #276

Val Iberall (O'Connor)

Shelley, I put the Belvoir pics in first because they were mine and they were the first pics I put in period besides the individual grad pics on everyone's profiles. BUT, now that people are sending me their pics I can put them in any order anyone wants! Only thing I'm finding is that there are TOO many opinions out there!! Man, I asked a question and I got 25 different responses! Now what's a girl to think??!!

The CHUH web site lists 6 elementary schools now which I assume were all in existence back in the day

Boulevard
Canterbury
Fairfax
Noble
Oxford
Roxboro

Class photos on this site also list

Belvoir
Northwood
Taylor

So maybe 9?
