I originally DIDN’T think it was Friskie, the cat, because the urine has not had a “cat urine odor”, seemed to be a larger amount (50# dog quantity vs. 7.5# cat quantity), and started shortly after grand-dog moved in. Because it didn't have any of that "cat odor", I doubt if it's an infection, but she has her annual exam in 1 ½ weeks. However, I think you're onto something regarding when the grand-dog moved … late December. The dynamics of the household pets definitely changed.
I had written a book, but we can all write books about our families and pets.
