Charles, (Chuck) Balcher

Used to go downtown in tenth grade. Jeans Fun House, The Arcade, Coin shops. Great bookstore, I think on 8th. and Chester. That's where I read and occasionally bought my poker books. It wasn't till my senior year in college till I read only books on existentialism. I made it through college without ever taking a note. I figured that if it wasn't worth remembering, it wasn't worth knowing. I also never typed a paper. All my reports were hand written. The only one which had to be typed, I sent it home to my mom, and she typed it for me. True Confessions.

BTW, Happy Fathers Day to all. Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of the Cuyahoga River catching fire. This may have been the beginning of the environmentalist movement.

yeah Mitch Chesterland hullaballoo --great for us youngsters--and gangsterwantabees.nice place to hang.

Allan---thanx for info on trip --probably for us florida more like feb--Denise likes warm climate in winter. Al,Sandy, have nice trip

Great fathers day song by the Winstons "color him father"1969 its on you tube-----

Val --welcome back--------picture update-----picture with Larry Eder and Chuck Balcher in photo albums, has girl in between.the girl is Cathy Stiar.Bob remember the big S.
ps to toe happy b.d.fri to you and son.

Mitch-- speaking of date nite ,I know what you mean,I took a first date 16 year old to see the groove tube movie--today would be R.--I think I turned red and turned into a clam, with my date(though my date seemed smiling).so I understand the put out comment.also glad to hear the mattress was blow up.

memory book suggestion, since many profiles are longer than others, just for fun etc---good sugestion for memory books --have 3-5 or so very important key categories and thats all you need in memory book--name, address, phone#,email, jobs, wife, kids, etc.just 3-5 categories for memory book-as it would get too big.Mitch knows what I'm saying.

as far as the long book or novel profiles, thats all competition,to sell a book at the 50th reunion on longest profile. If some of us do have long profiles,I thought some gr8 info.Thanx to all for long profiles the more info the more fun.Actually a good book is 100 times as long as anyones profile.so whats the story Jerry?

just for the record--I gave Val over 50 pictures,20 youtube videos, including Dorothy Fuldheim,Rabbi Cohen,Austin Powers, the Graduate,Cumberland pool,Euclid Beach songs, gypsey, ,including tris speaker little league, team picturs,Roosevelt sports team pictures, Roosevelt band,Washington DC pics, etc, etc.I hope thats ok.,just trying to be helpful, sort of a novel idea of helping our entire website become gr8.

Some people have written one word profiles ,like my good famous Dr of waterproofing basements, Ron Greenbaum---check him at google at basement waterproofing companies in Columbus and other states,he is very famous as basement waterproofer.,though one word profile? Ron lived with me a month in New York in the 70's...cheers lets rock and roll.Ron cheers to you-- spoke to ron about 3 years ago.so ron has one word profile and some have big profiles, tru maybe Ron's profile is better.Rons brother Barney owned the OJ juice stores around Ohio state campus in 70's

Sandie, did you take dancing lessons at Tony Ricardo's? It's so funny that you remember that place. It was across from May Company (Macy's). My sister and I took lessons, which seemed like for years.

Sandie-

I remember taking dance lessons at Tony Ricardo's - his wife's name was Yolanda. I remember my Mom signed me up for dance lessons at Viola Gensler and Bea Free when my sister and I were children and I hated all of them! I don't know why my Mom thought I liked dance lessons.

I had no idea we went to school with the owner's son. I took boy/girl dancing at the studio. ChaCha, jitterbug, maybe waltz, etc. I never danced any of those dances anywhere, ever.

Solon, Ohio,Seems to be a popular town to live in for our classmates,I see Bob and quite a few are from Solon. This class site is great for connecting neighbors.I used to hang out in Chagrin falls--how many live there?-----I guess for Clevelanders, its great to see who your neighbors are and the frequent lunches, dinners with everyone sounds gr8.Have fun at Fishers tonight. My Uncle Herb Diamond was mayor of Bentleyville, near Solon or Chagrin falls, I guess.Anyone live in Bentleyville?

Joel when you come to NYC--I'll be there.and any one else coming to Manhatten.

Mr Rodgers neighborhood, thanx from Jungle Plarry
