Holly Kuper Kuper

I left Cleveland to travel. I landed in Arizona at ASU in photography, New Mexico for a newspaper job and then in 1978 to Dallas to freelance. I covered news and business stories for Business Wk, Forbes, Fortune and company magazine photos for IBM and Frito Lay. Dallas was booming and the work was easy. As the children came, I did more family photography and then events like Bar Mitzvahs. I have danced my way through these years with my husband and traveled far and wide for work and pleasure. My husband died in 2012.
In 2013 I did a job in Italy and fell in love with Europe. In 2016 I moved to Paris. I still work jobs on Dallas and have others covering for me. I come back 2-3 times a year to visit and work.

It is funny that I watched Mark Schiff take photos all those days and even helped him in his home darkroom but never thought I would become a professional photographer. I was a cellist and that was my first love. When I left Cleveland I thought that was it. But I visited often to see my folks who still lived there until they died in 2009 and 2010. Now I don't need to go back but look for any excuse to go. I didn't really stay in touch with anyone in Cleveland but my parents and their friends. Looking back it was a great place to grow up, a great school, interesting weather and beautiful seasons.
I really only went to Heights in 10th grade, Israel in 11th and Friends School of Dallas in 12th.
