Have enjoyed many experiences since Heights.
College of Wooster grad 1975 (Physics)
University of Arizona grad 1979 (Electrical Engr)
Certification in Clinical Engineering 1983
Certification in Medical Physics 1989
Assistant to Full Professor in Radiation Oncology Dept at Univ California San Francisco 1983-2006.
Adjunct Professor University of California Berkeley.
Professor and Director of Hyperthermia Physics and Engineering at Duke University 2006-2013.
Professor and Director of Thermal Oncology Physics at Thomas Jefferson University 2013-2019. Now happily retired back in California.
I directed a Research and Development laboratory in radiofrequency and microwave antenna development and thermal monitoring techniques, and medical physics coverage of clinical Hyperthermia treatments.
After leaving Cleveland, I loved my 7 years in Tucson Az, got married to Deborah Foster in 1977 (best thing I ever did), was recruited to start a Clinical Hyperthermia division at UCSF which I loved for 23 years before being recruited to take over a larger similar effort at Duke University. In 2014 I moved to Philadelphia to start up another new Hyperthermia/Thermal Oncology program. I absolutely loved the southwest, west and east coast. But very happy to have retired back to Sacramento Bay Area with my wife of 44 years, now close to our three kids and growing families. Life has been very good to me.
