End of website Posted Monday, December 30, 2013 05:08 PM I'm a single-year CHS alumnus so don't have as much skin in the game as most of the rest of you, but I have two comments: First, kudos to Kent for all the work on the site over the past few years (that I've known about his efforts). The birthday greetings have been a nice way to touch base (digitally, I reckon) with past class folk, so I noted with some regret that Ronnie Bingham's b'day greeting is the final notice. But alas, life is all about change. Secondly, the expense and work really is a bit much for one person and I guess it never occured to me to ask who is paying! Basically, I concur with those who say it is perhaps time to turn off the lights. While not a great fan of Facebook, I use it . . . largely to keep up with four wayward children scattered here and there. There may already be a CHS-64 Facebook page, but that would be a no-cost (other than time) way to keep it going. Happy New Year to all of you folks and . . . onward to May! I will be happy to make a contribution if the decision is made to keep the site up and running. |
