35th Class Reunion Weekend

The John F. Kennedy High School Class of 1979 will celebrate its 35th High School Reunion, August 22nd and 23rd, 2014. Our Reunion Headquarters will be the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Independence. This hotel is located at 6200 Quarry Lane, Independence, Ohio 44131. A block of rooms have been secured for $109 per night (Including Breakfast) and must be reserved directly with the DoubleTree. Weekend Activities:

Friday, August 22nd at 7:00pm: Our "Class Main Event - The Casino Royale": this Mardi Gras themed gala will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Independence and will feature casino style gaming for prizes, food, live music, DJ playing all our favorite old school jams and a cash bar. Come join us for a great evening of live entertainment, dancing and catching up with old friends while trying your hand at Lady Luck with some Las Vegas style games.

Friday, August 22nd Late Night: At the conclusion of the Casino Royale, in true Mardi Gras fashion, the fun will continue and move to the Hospitality Suite. The suite will be fully stocked to keep the party going for the late night Eagles that can still hang!!

Saturday, August 22nd at 1:00pm: We will attend the All JFK Class Picnic at Punderson State Park, located at 11755 Kinsman Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065. If you are not aware, this is the 4th year for this very successful event. It has attracted almost 1,000 JFK Alumnus over the years and this is destined to be the best year ever now that the divine class of '79 will be in full attendance. Our class will have a designated area (decked out in our continuing Mardi Gras decor), with music, catered BBQ chicken and pork, games and soft drinks for our registered classmates and guests. Families are welcome (free for kids under 13) and it's guaranteed to be a great time for "kids" of all ages. Not only will it be another opportunity to catch up with our classmates and their families, but you can also gather with the other John F. Kennedy H.S. alumnus who were not as fortunate to graduate with the class of 1979.

Saturday, August 23nd Evening: Finally, for those who wish to continue the reunion festivities...we will reopen the Hospitality Suite back at the DoubleTree after the picnic.

We will be offering our Class Reunion Souvenir Booklet again this year, so please solicit all your family and friends to contribute patron entries and of course business owners that would like to place an advertisement. We have more fun and surprises in store and this will help us to defray all the costs for putting on this great weekend.
