30th Class Reunion

"The Mother of All Class Reunions"

 

 

The John F. Kennedy High School Class of 1979 will be celebrating its 30th High School Reunion, August 21st-23rd, 2009. Our Reunion Headquarters will be the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Cleveland. This ‘All-Suites’ hotel is located at 1701 East 12th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44114. A block of suites have been secured for $119 per night and must be reserved directly with the Embassy. For reservations call 216.523.8000 and mention the JFK Class of 1979 Reunion to receive this discounted rate. Our block of suites are secured at this rate until August 1st, so reserve yours today.

 

Friday, August 21st at 6:00pm, we kick off our reunion weekend with a Get 'Red' -aquainted Reception and Senior Lounge. We will begin with our Eagle Reception in the Presidential Suite (13th floor) at the Embassy. With plenty of food and refreshments available, this setting should provide ample time for us to catch up on old times, show off our family photos and of course reminisce about the days gone by. Later, at 9:00PM we will move our activities to the Ballroom of the Embassy to set up our 'Senior Lounge'. We will feature both Bid Whist and Spades card games along with Backgammon and Domino's. We will also be treated to an instructional Line Dance class to catch up on the latest moves.  as we enjoy the comedic talents of “Courtney Gee”, a nationally renown comedian, who will entertain us in the Grand Ballroom of the Embassy. The show will begin at 10:00pm.

 Saturday, August 22nd at 6:00pm, Our Night in White, we will take you back, I mean way back! Our evening together will feature a full buffet, the comedic talents of “Courtney Gee”, a nationally renown comedian and the Old Skool Players band that will perform and serve as our house band for our version of the JFK Talent show.  Let us know if you are interested in performing in the talent show, we would love to revisit your special talents. There will be plenty of time to enjoy each other while dancing the night away to some old school tunes, live entertainment from our classmates and a great  comedy show...this will truly be the “Mother of all Class Reunions”. 

Sunday, August 23rd at 2:00pm we conclude with our “Blue Family Picnic” at the Twinsburg Recreation Center, located at 10075 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. The afternoon will have lots of family activities, so bring the entire gang with you. If you choose, bring your own picnic basket, but if not, we will have plenty of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and beverages for all with paid reunion fee.  Food will be served between 1:30 – 3:30 PM.
