1964 "THE"  CLASS OF CLOVIS HIGH

   CELEBRATING OUR 50TH REUNION!

We planned it for one year and now it was here! Relief? Exciitement? Celebration! What a great experience to have a success!

Over 180 attended our 50th. They came from Nebraska, New York, Arizona, New Mexico and others.

We all looked the same as we gathered for our Friday night pizza party to decorate which lasted into the late hours.

The Friday nite was nothing compared to the gathering of 50 plus hot rods and more attendees to go on a car run Saturday morning.. We drove thru Clovis and by many of our childhood homes. The neighborhoods each named by who lived there.A stop at the rodeo grounds to view our old "parking lot". Then on and out to Minkler. A long ride with engines revving, tires burning, and several grudge matches on the way. See those cars go-o-o-o. A great lunch and some adult beverage on a hot day.

Saturday nite and the big event. A treasure room full of foggy faces. Like the weather, some clear and some so hard to see or remember. We danced and talked the night away with a bit of American Graffiti and a visit by Elvis along the way.

We had a balloon ceremony with blue and gold  Balloons to represent the 48 classmates we have lost.  It reminded me of how fleeting life is and yet we are still here. It made it even more important to search out every graduate and look in their face and always remember....

A friend is a gift you give yourself.

Here's to the next reunion!

Thank you for visiting this web page. It is for all of you.

Jeanie
