(Paula Key Jenkins) I remember the first time I met Dutch. We both went to a private school in Arkabutla. He was so funny and outgoing and had long hair. His laugh made you want to laugh with him and his smile always made you smile. Even though I haven't seen him in 30 years, he will be missed!
I'm very surprised and saddened to hear of Dutch's passing. He was a sweetheart in high school--he loved Bob Seger and once showed me a HUGE scrapbook of Seger items he had collected. I don't know what his life was like for the past 30 years, but I am sad that he is gone. RIP Dutch.
I HAD A CHANCE MEETING WITH DUTCH AT THE COMO STEAK HOUSE ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO. HE WAS IN POOR HEALTH THEN BUT STILL HAD THAT WILL TO KEEP SMILING. I REMEMBER HIM COMING TO SCHOOL WITH THE HAT THAT HE TOSSED ON STAGE TO BOB SEGER AT THE MID SOUTH COLISEUM, THEN TOOK PICTURES OF BOB WEARING IT WHILE PLAYING THE PIANO! GOOD LORD HE LOVED THAT HAT! MISS YOU DUTCH...
Dutch was one of a kind.He was the type of person you couldn't take your eyes off.You knew he was going to do something totally outrageous and make you laugh all day long.God bless you Dutch.
