I was not a close friend of Diane's, but did know her. We only had about 100 in our class so most everyone was acquainted. I also know her brother Dwane, who I believe was class of 62? It is always sad to learn of the passing of a classmate.

David Fitton Fitton has left an In Memory comment for Terry Hostetter.
Mar 08, 2017 at 4:33 PM

Terry was a great person, footballer and scholar. If I remeber correctly he had a few dates with my sister, Marrin. I had the pleasure of having him as a teammate on our state championship football team. We played that game in La Junta which was the home team owing to their undefeated season. We had lost one game early in the season when 1/2 the team was sidelined with the flu. Coach Mondt had received permission to have the game in Falcon Stadium, but La Junta opted to play the game at home. Coach made a rather harsh statement (as I recall) that we would be victorious if they would provide a dry field. When we arrived on game day the the filed was so dry that there was almost no grass and it has almost as hard as concrete. Wearing cleats was not possible so coach told us to just wear the shoes we had on when we left the bus. Terry had his usual outstanding game. In fact La Junta did not score against our defense which was lead by Terry. The circimstances of his death were tragic, he was a terrific role model for all of us.
