I graduated from the University of Texas-Austin in 1993, which was a great experience, loved the music, the football games, the Tex-mex, the fun in the sun... oh, yah, and the education. Then, moved to the Dallas area. I worked at Arlington Memorial, on the telemetry floor (cardiac monitoring), then for HeartPlace Arlington, namely Stephen Lenhoff, MD. Lots of great perks-great physicians, sporting event and symphony tickets. I was married to Joseph Hagel in 1999 and moved to Monument, CO in 2000. I worked at Rose Medical Center in Denver, then Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs for 7 years, where I received a great deal of leadership training. Currently, I work for CareCoreNational precertifying cardiology/radiology tests for multiple insurance carriers from my home computer. Although I miss being in charge at some level (at all my other jobs), and doing direct patient care, it was a nice change to enjoy my weekends without anything hanging over my head (well, except for cleaning). I have two girls, Sarah, will be 7, and Lindsay just turned 3. They are absolutely beautiful-see the pic's. Sarah is already keeping me busy with ballet, gymnastics, religious eduation, and scouts. Somehow, we need to work in piano, too. She is so sweet and pure, and Lindsay is so unique and energetic. My husband works for Continental Hardscape Systems. He is a wonderful father and husband. Luckily, he can also fix anything around the house, which helps us a great deal. I miss my family and friends from Texas, as well as the food, culture and lakes, but enjoy family and friends here in Colorado, too, and the mountains, snow, and the life we have created here. We still have our 2 beagles that we got in Texas. I usually just stay busy with work and kids, but we try and get together with friends, family, cook/grill as much as we can, exercise, and enjoy life and vacation as much as possible.
