After academy graduation, went to pilot Training at Reese, T-38 Instructor, F-15 pilot/Instructor/Fighter Weapons School, Air Command and Staff, Masters Degree in Personnel Management, Operational Test & Evaluation at the Pentagon, Retired Lt/Col in 1993.
Flew for Continental Express (began wondering if I could revoke my AF retirement papers), Vanguard Airlines, now Delta Airlines- mostly internationally (better beer and food). All worked out with smiles.
Best part of the story is Kathryn and I are still married.... With 8 wonderful grand kids.

Those were great times.... Still laugh about Emmit White's reaction to seeing snow for the first time and "Tree's" (Sgt Enwistle) haranguing. Best Chow hall food in the AF. Never go to San Antonio w/o remembering the sweltering time we spent there... wondering why we took showers cause you'd be soaking wet from sweat as soon as you'd dry off.
