John Pitts

I finished OSU in 1957 in Accounting. Worked in Church work for many years including 6 yrs in Sierra Leone, West Africa as a Leprosy Hospital Manager. Finally worked 16 years in the Federal Gov (Social Security) and retired in 1996. Ran my own business from 1988 til 1999 and retired again and moved to Florida for six years. Then a friend invited me to come to NC to work with him. I have been here 3 yrs.

Sang in the choir all my years at West. My senior year I was a nominee for the President of the choir. Unfortunately for me, I nominated Richard Gilbert and he got it. So my recommendation was stronger than my personality. (smile) Richard and I were, and still are, the best of friends.

In High School I sang a number on the same program with Nancy Wilson. She became famous, I'm still working on it. (smile)
