John "Johnny" Austin Wada.  The remarkable spirit of Johnny Woda stepped into the eternal light of our Lord and Savior on March 26, 2010, leaving behind a world made more beautiful and special by his presence.  Born February 10, 1934 in Columbus, OH to John and Mar Woda.  He leaves a sister, Jinny (Jef) Koehler of Grove City.  He attended OSU, Franklin University and was a mechanical design engineer for Anchor Packing Co of Pittsburgh.  One of his mains professional accomplishments was to design a seal to stop leakage for Smucker's Jellies.  He attended St. Matthew Lutheran an in later years was a member of UALC, Mill Run. He served on the Board of Directors of the Tarpon Yacht Club on the Isle of Capri, Fl, a 50 year member of the Grove City Lodge #689 FL&AM, a 50 year member of the Mercedes Benz Club of America, and enjoyed boating in the 10,000 Islands of Marco Island, FL.  His wonderfully big personality, his kindness and his aura of joy, he shared with his wife of 22 years, Cecile Woda; daughters, Linnette Capparuccini (Nick) of Westerville, Abby Thomas (Randy) of Webster, NY, Jennifer Woda of Columbus; Step-daughters, Lisa Grummer (Scott) and Marissa Williamson (Kevin) of Little Rock, AR.  His ten grandchildren gave him great happiness.  Grandfather to James, Nicolette, and Dominique Capparuccini, Bennett, Kinley, Even and Delaney Thomas; Whitney Williamson and Natalie and Nathan Grummer.  He, Cecile and his daughters were the recipients of the loving care of HomeReach Hospice of OhioHealth.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts in Johnny's name to HomeReach Hospice, 180 E. Broad St, 31st FL, Columbus, OH 43215.  Friends may call 6-8 pm Monday at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd where funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010.  His best friend, Rev Gerry Haubrich will officiate.  Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Johnny is now free to soar into the heart and soul of the universe and those who loved him will keep watch and rejoice in the sunsets on his beloved boating waters in Florida.
