I graduated from Andrews in 1963 and the University of Michigan in 1964. Married Rosie Kuerbiss in 1963. We have three children and five grand-children. We have had our own constrtuction business since 1961 -in Michigan until 1984 and then in Florida. We have done mostly churches and medical institutions in Florida. In 1998 we bought 45 acres of citrus (and 76 acres of Florida Swamp) - so Rosie and I are again farmers. (The farmer blood never left us.) In the past ten years we have done less construction work and more farming (We grow strawberries and blueberries in addition to the citrus.)along with eight construction projects in Central and South America.
These mission projects have really been fun.
Memories of WA: Fond memories include -- the day I arrived at WA (March 6, 1957)--changed my life forever, working on the farm and dairy (Mr. Lane tolerated me.), softball and basketball, dorm monitoring (with the added perk of doing pots and pans --what a deal), Elder Bieber, Mr. Ford,Mr. Knutson, Mr. Mauro. (Thanks men, "I thank my God every time I remember you." Philippians 1:3), filling garbage cans with dandelions, playing "Crazy Eight" (Rook) in the dorm, thanks for the key Duayne (Don't ask.), working on the new administration building, my academy sweetheart (Wow, what a girl.), my roommates-Larry and Bruce, and many wonderful classmates and friends.
Hobbies: Photographing lighthouses, collecting antique Farmall tractors, skiing, running, growing pineapples.
I ran the Chicago Marathon again in October 2006
