School Story:
Back in March of 1989, I was in a car accident. It was bad too. The car was traveling down Sheridan st. at around 90 miles an hour. The car hit a puddle from the median and spun out of control, hitting a cement telephone pole, that split the car in three (down the middle and across the back seats), the telephone pole was split in half, and I flew 75ft. out of the car and landed on my head. I went into a coma for 31/2 weeks, while the pasanger in the car had broken wrist, ribs and his anckle. I had no broken bones, only my skull!!! I was in bad shape in the hospital during the first few weeks. My brain was expanding so they had to drill a hole in my head to release the presure, my right side was paralized,and my lungs colapsed. Let me explain, (when you fly in the air and land on your head, its like you droped a bowel of jello on the counter and and the jello shacking in the bowl would be your brain in your skull.) I had to learn how to walk, talk, take a shower on my own, learn how to write, ride a bike, run, and swim. My dad after the accident when I was released from the medical hospital to the rehab hospital would put me in the swimming pool to swim and do laps. I went to Davie Accademy to get my high school depolma, and then to a school where they teach you how to work in a Work atmospher.
Today, my life is good and you would not be abel to tell this event I just explained ever happend! (just my slurred speech from the respurator tube that was down my throught) GOD has came to my faimlies prayers, and saved my life. I was not a model student in high school, nor a model kid to my parents. The Lord saved my life, but took Christie Shaffles. Why? My accident was not to long after hers. I still go over to Mrs. Susie Shaffle Dickinson"s house to share the news of our lives. We talk, cry, laugh to eachother. She once asked me if I thought people would forget Christie? No I said, absoulutly NOT!!!
