Jodi Walsh Lang

After graduating CCHS, I went on to join the Army. I went to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, where I had Russian crammed down my throat 24/7, then went to spy school in San Angelo, Texas. I was eventually stationed with the military intelligence battalion at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, where I received my certification in German. I worked underground in a tunnel and spent the next 7 years intercepting and translating Russian and East German satellite radio communications. After being honorably discharged I went back to school (University of South Florida) and received 2 BA degrees, one in German and one in Russian. I now do freelance translation work and have translated several books for publication, and I regularly translate medical documents for the Social Security Administration. I am blessed to be able to work in my jammies from my kitchen table.
