playing tennis and hanging out with friends.

after graduation, moved to houston. resided there for about 6yrs. while there attended college, but in those times money was tight, and i needed to work more so dropped out vowing to go back. during this time off i threw myself into work (h.e.b video central off of bisonnet and weslayan) loved it. i had always thought of myself as something of a people person (some may beg to differ) so i have stuck with customer service. i don't know how many of you will agree with this, but i'd rather be happy with my job than to have money dictate that for me. moved from houston around '95 to l.a. for about a year. followed love (what a mistake). anyway, from there moved to s.a. lived there for a while where i became very ill with type 1 diabetes. life kind of went south from there. so, back in cc. loving it, after traveling, it was hard to think i would say that, but there is no place like home.

this is a personal story, but it was so memorable for me that i don't think i will ever forget it. it was junior year. of course i was in drama and we were competing in u.i.l one act competition. i had the pleasure of performing with some buc greats, dahlia aguilar, pili colmenero, adelaida guerra to name a few. we were at the district competition, doing our rendition of beth henley's "mrs. firecracker contest". i played "delmont". we did the play and sat patiently to find out the results of whether we advanced or not. the awards started to be handed out. we were awarded an advance to the area competition, but what makes it memorable is that i was awarded best actor. they called my name and i swear it was an oscar moment. i will never forget it. but, what i really miss the most is the whole high school experience. i could never imagine going to any other school. miller- once a buc, always a buc. "raise your hands--stomp your feet--miller bucs just can't be beat!"
