I only knew him slightly but I heartily applaud his life and career; may he rest in peace.

I remember that trip we made to Houston in the Fall of 1959 to see the Ray football game.  Actually we never made it to the game . . . .  Jerry was a good man.

Wishing Jerry’s family peace. Always saddened at the death of another classmate, but it’s wonderful how much this career Army man and civil servant gave to our country.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Jerry.  He wanted me to stop when my husband and I traveled from to NY to Florida, but sadly that never happened. He had a wonderful life, thoughts and prayers to all his family.

I was saddened to hear of the death of long time classmate Jerry White. We knew each other from Sam Houston Elementary on until we graduated from W. B. Ray. My prayers go out to all his family. We've lost a good one.

Knew "Whity" from Sam Houston days and the old neighborhood.  Seems not so long ago. Jerry was one of the "guys" and a good one at that.  Will be missed by all who knew him then, and after.  Regards to his family.

Some of you guys may remember our Sam Houston Elementary days when we would get to school early and play "run until you are tackled" football on the side of the school toward Norton Street. Jerry White was one tough hombre to tackle. Such good memories of Jerry. Blessings to all his family. Chaplain Ronnie (Ron) Edgington.

I am another person that knew Jerry from Sam Houston thru Ray, and am sorry to hear that he has passed away. He gave back to his country and his community, and made this world a better place for all of us. I know he will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family. My sympathies are with them.
