After high school I attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated with a degree in English and computer science. I moved back to Nebraska and decided that I wanted to teach, so I earned my certificate and Master of Education through Doane College. At this point in my life I met my wonderful husband, Josiah, and we were married in 2004. He immediately had to leave for Iraq for the next year, which needless to say was extremely difficult. After he returned, we were blessed with our daughter, Haven, who was born in December of 2006. I decided to stop teaching full-time in Crete to stay at home with our daughter. Currently I substitute teach, run a book business from home, and teach piano lessons.
