Not a month nor an October 19th goes by that I don't think about Scott. While visiting CL in the fall of 2008, I visited the cemetery after 30 years of not setting foot there. I had some difficulty finding his grave but with Ron Stampler's help and an hour later, we found it. There wasn't a better guy than Scott and I wonder if the statement "only the good die young", doesn't hold some truth. I still have his apron from Foods class we had together.

I loved being around Scott.  He was such a nice guy with a great sense of humor.  I was away visiting a college when my parents called to tell me the bad news.  I still say a prayer when I pass by route 31 and Three Oaks Road.  We had a great time playing tennis together.

I spent the evening at the hospital with Mike Musyl waiting to hear how Scott was doing.  There were a couple other classmates there too, but I don't remember who they were.

It seemed like we were there for hours before we were told that Scott passed away.  The drive home was terrible.  Scott and Mike were best friends and it was one of the saddest times of my life.

He was a great guy and a great friend and I will never forget him.
