Buddy Smith did a great job in getting the band. Some of us danced till the end at 11pm. It was mostly swing but Florence and I got to practice the rumba. Our class has produced some other great female dancers as I can attest. They include Celia Osborn, Kay Knickerbocker, Susie Fulwiller, Debbie Dwyer, Sandy Fredrickson, Donna Rowe, Sherry Wilkinson (and her guest the lady mayor of Shreveport), Rita Feldman, and Barbara Barnett.
After last night's dinner, Ricky Roark bought about a dozen of us multiple bottles of wine as we proceeded to close down the Hilton hotel bar after 1am. It was a great way to cap off a memorable weekend

Two of my favorite recollections about our class occurred after I graduated.
The summer after our sophomore year in college I worked at James K. Wilson in Northpark Mall. I believe that during that Summer I was able to see and catch up with many of our classmates whom I knew who passed through the store. It seemed that two years after high school graduation was a long enough time to talk about how things in life were going.
Our tenth year class reunion was a great time. At the main dinner I had a date with Ann Winniford HHS'67. She had been a Panader and knew many more of my own classmates than I. She had a job on Sen. John Tower's office staff screening Texas applicants to the service academies. We stayed friends for the next thirty years. Unfortunately, she died in 2013. Perhaps the 1967 HHS Class will let me write a few words about Ann.

Congratulations to Bob Hinton, Hillcrest '66, being honored by Attorneys At Law Magazine in Dallas this month. When I became an attorney Bob was already emerging as a highly respected lawyer's lawyer. He is one of Texas' best attorneys specializing in the legal defense of professionals and in legal ethics. Our entire class can be proud of Bob Hinton's personal and professional accomplishments. Bob Clark
