Merry Christmas, Class of '60!  I'm praying 2015 will be a wonderful year for you and your families.

I really enjoyed the picture of the Hall of Famers.  It's neat that their hard work and achievements can be remembered, acknowledged, and rewarded for years after their performances.

I was saddened  to look up my dear friend and classmate Fred Parker on December 29, to find that he graduated this life back on July 9th. He was a true friend of those who needed Christ, as well as a friend and encourager to many - of whom I was one.

Here is the Facebook post by his son Kelly on July 9:Early this morning my father, Fred Parker, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was the best of men who always put his family first. He was a true servant of God who answered when called and poured his heart and soul into his service. He touched a lot of lives and helped many wayward souls find their way to the light. I am honored to be his son and feel truly blessed. Thank you for everything dad. I love you.

My sympathy and condolences to Fred's family. I am thankful for the promise of God that Fred is now in an eternal home prepared for him, and a reunion is planned for all his borthers and sisters in Christ.

At the request of Doris (Goggins) and with heartfelt sympathy I must inform you of the death of her daughter Andrea. The long journey with cancer ended today but the family rejoices in knowing her destination. 

Arrangements unknown at this time but will be forthcoming.

Thank you so much for the update on Doris and Larry Fritts' daughter's death, our hearts are broken for them, but know Melissa is in a wonderful place.  Melissa has fought a very long battle with that dreadful cancer.

Jim Walton's father Hollie died at age 94 on July 9, 2015. Following a service at the First Baptist Church of Kettering on the 16th he was buried at Woodland Cemetery. Sympathy goes to Jim and his family.

Tom List's infant granddaughter died suddenly July 15, 2015.  Evangeine (Evie) was the four month old daughter of Tom's son David and wife Stefanie. Tom reports "our family is broken and hurting and only the prayers of our friends and the answer to those prayers from our loving God are keeping us going."

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.   God called my 18 year old granddaughter home on May 11^th. It's hard to understand He has a reason for everything He does.  My friends’ prayers and support have been a great comfort during this time I know she is in God’s loving arms safe and happy but I miss her so much.  May God bless and watch over your family and help them find solace in His love.

Thanks to those of you who have extended love and sympathy to Diane and me, following the passing of our little granddaughter.  We appreciate so much your love and prayers. 

Seeing this site, I've been reminded or learned about other classmates who have had recent losses.

Viola Gilley, thank you for your words of encouragement.  I was saddened to learn that you recently lost a granddaughter, too.  May God comfort you and your family and give you peace, in the days to come. 

Jim Walton, my sympathy to you and your family, following the home-going of your father.  When a parent passes, there's still emptiness and feeling of loss, but there are usually many good memories from the years you had together.  I wish that for you. 

Larry and Doris Fritts, I emailed you condolences, when I learned about your daughter's passing, but this Class of 60 site may be a more reliable means of communication.  We prayed for Andrea and for both of you, throughout her battle, and we hurt for you when she went to be with the Lord.  The pain from the loss of a family member never goes away, but somehow God is able restore strength and hope, for us to be able to continue with His work, until we experience our home-going and reunion with those who preceded us.  

I apologize to those of you I'm overlooking.  I would like to say that I'll do a better job of checking notices and other information available on this site, but I'm not dependable - too many other distractions.  I do love our Class of 60 family and wish you all the very best.  May God bless you and all those you love.

Doris (Goggins) Fritts  has again asked me to notify you of her loss. Husband Larry died today at Hospice after losing his battle with brain cancer. You may remember her daughter Andrea suffered and died a year ago from the same thing. Will notify you of arrangements as soon as known.

Also learned of August death of Jean (Nichols) Pleiman who was not in our class but well known to most.

HenryBarnett died December 26, 2016. Sorry to report another death but Henry's wife Barbara has confirmed his death as a result of cancer. Surgery in March followed by chemo treatments appeared to have worked but it reappeared in another area with no further treatment possible. Henry was living in Sun City, Florida.
