You'll need to feed them.

OH CRAP! That's why she hasn't moved around in a day or two. Thanks Robert, I'll try feeding her! :0

You and April are very funny (seriously). I struck a nerve w/ the 'no more politics or religion' posting.

Quick story: We found a groundhog in our back yard about a month ago, so Clara borrowed a trap from our neighbor (yes, our neighbor has a groundhog trap). We caught it - then gave the trap back. Two days later, Clara saw another one. The trap was given back to us, and we caught a possum one night and a raccoon the next night. Clara asked if I was going to take them to the woods in my Explorer. I asked if she was kidding and told her I wasn't going to have raccoon molecules in my car.

We paid the 14 year-old across the street $50 to take them away becuase I'm too much of a wuss to put one of these nasty things in my car.

We still haven't caught the 2nd groundhog.

Ulrich- Doesn't your sister work with animals? A rodent should be a piece of cake! If it doen't make it, your brother could use his taxidermy skills to keep the memory around forever. It will be hard to pass it off as living to your supergenius kids though. They will most likely figure it out after a few days.

My suggestion, slow roasted, drizzled with olive oil and a couple cloves of garlic, a side of glazed baby carrots, petit rosemary baked potatoes, and a bottle of merlot!

Sorry Ulrich, you put that one right over the plate (pun intended)for me!

I have been trying to catch a mouse in my attic for a week now. Those little buggers give me the willies!

Well, I have only been to Danny's once when I was nineteen so that leaves me out of the stripclub stories. I think I've only been really drunk twice and that's just since I've been married so that's not a very funny tale, most of my "trouble" stories are about others I know and not myself so I don't have much more to add...Man am I boring??? Religion and politics is all I have!

I am listening to Rush right now. Does that count for something?

We have coyotes here in Holly. More specifically here in my backyard. We live on five acres and most of it is wet lands. My neighbors live on 23 acres and it is all wetlands. Those coyotes are scary when they get a hold of racoons.

True story, One very dark night, Bill was away on business, I am alone in bed when I hear this horrible "scratch, scratch, screeeeech" sound outside. It keeps repeating so I get brave and get out of bed. I go to the patio door (our bedroom is on the second floor and we have a glass patio door that leads to a small balcony)I turn on the outdoor light and look outside. Just as i look, the face of this GIANT racoon pokes his head around the corner. Scared the hell out of me! He wouldn't move! He just sat there looking at me like he wasn't going to back down. Finally he decided he'd better go and starts to back down. The scratching sound was his nails trying to cling to the siding.

Yes Dan. Tricia is a vet tech and she is the one who gave me the sob story about putting the guina pig to death if I didn't rescue it.

I forgot to mention that the coyotes got a hold of my neighbors goat. She has two horses and had a goat too. I guess the coyotes just ripped it to shreds. We were overseas at the time.

It could have been the michigan panther they never caught.

Or it could have been Hooker's satanic cult. Did they find the head in a tree? He listens to all that devil music.

Tracy: I love the coyote story.

Not sure if I've told this story: Ty Chasey and Jim Rinn used to pick me up every Sunday night in Ty's '78 Grand Prix. I would sit in the back seat while these crazy bastards picked up roadkill. We would drive out to New Boston, stop in the middle of the road and pick up dead animals! Ty and Jim Rinn (aka Satan) had gloves and Glad bags in the trunk and the car stank like ####! (imagine that?) They would get out and peel (yes, peel!) squirrels, raccoons, possums, etc off the road. I sat in the back seat laughing my ass off! The entire time, they'd have the loudest/most evil music playing. It was so loud, I thought my ears were bleeding.

Once they collected their kill, they'd throw this nasty #### on people's front porches, car windshields, up in trees, etc. Jim Rinn's (satan) bedroom was actually painted black...shocker!

I'm laughing just as hard telling this story, right now.

April,
how do you like Riverview schools? We are going to look at a house in Riverview. It is rght off Grange on Country Club Drive. Best thing is it only 2 miles from John's store. It has an inground pool, so that is a negative. It is plenty big enough at 4100 square feet. We were not going to look at it because of the pool, but it is such a nice neighborhood that we will take a peek and it has a lot that is almost an acre. It would be hard to not have at least what we have here for a backyard. Still would like a little more land than that, though!

Hey Tara,

We looked at that house last year. Watch out for the taxes. They want like $15,000 a year. Also at times in the summer it really stinks because of Mount Trashmore right there. It is a hell of a deal though for that house size. The house right next door to it is for sale also and they are asking like $800,000.00 for it.

Cara Onkalo (Fitzpatrick)

$15K? That's nuts. I think you all should pull up stakes and move down here. We could have an Annapolis Class of 88 commune.

April Passen (Ochman)

Tara...I love the Riverview Schools. Bre goes to Huntington, it's right next to the Junior High. I believe the area you decripted is that same Elementary. It's by the golf course? I love the teachers, the kids & location. Yes the taxes are high...but I think more like 4-5k...not 10.

11/11/08 02:38 PM #810

April Passen (Ochman)

Robert you know I love ya...politics or not!!! But it did help we liked the same canidate...ROFL

As for the piggy...I had one way back when I was a kid. I think they do good w/others...Hansters suck they do not do well, I've seen those bitches fight till death! I think maybe instead get the piggy a little bunny. They way there will be no oppps, here's babies.

As for the Bonds...I have to say my favorite is Roger Moore, cuz he was my orginal when I started watching the Bond movies...then Connery (just cuz we all hope to be that sexy at his age) & then Brosnan.

11/11/08 02:42 PM #811

Tara Wismar (Nickell)

Jason, are we talking about the same house, this house just went into foreslosure. It could be. I did not notice if the house next door was for sale. Wow! 800,000. I know there are a lot of houses that cost that much back there, though. This house looks like a chalet. Cannot for the life of me remember the style name. Taxes are crazy. We looked at a 4000 sq foot on in Brownstown on Adam Brown and the taxes were like 7 grand and down the street we looked at a 3100 sq foot and the takes were over 10 grand. Go figure. Have to go pick up the little ones!

11/11/08 02:43 PM #812

April Passen (Ochman)

Dan...So what would you say is the percentage of "Non-using" kids at your school? I know I started w/precription drugs...caffeine speed actually you didn't need a script, you could order through magizines. But today precription drugs are way more powerful! And your right, so many parents are doing the shit, the kids are just following the cycle of abuse.

Did I ever tell the story of my sister selling precription laxatives as speed...now that was funny.

11/11/08 02:59 PM #813

Jason Leveque

Tara,
Yes it has to be the same house. When I looked at it, I thought it was a steal at 350K and it was banked owned back then too. That was about 2 years ago. Now isn't it like 260K? WOW. My wife didn't like it so much, but I loved it. Right on the golf course and the inground pool and the inside was huge and open. A little outdated but not too bad. Around the pool are a bunch of Arbravides (spelling?).

11/11/08 04:28 PM #814

Tara Wismar (Nickell)

Jason, that must be the one. It is on Country Club? The realtor said they just gutted and remolded the kitchen with granite and lime stone. Do you know where the Adam Brown houses are? If so, how is that neighborhood? Eventually, we will probably have John's mom with us. Don't laugh and Tammy if you are readng this, you better not laugh either because we will share her! LOL! But seriously, we probably will have her. That pone house in Rockwood, we wanted, had a full huge kitchen in the basement with two bedrooms and a full bath and huge living area, all in a beautiful finished basement, that would have been perfect for her as the rest of that house was 3200 sq feet. John wants to stay close to his store. We talked about moving to Canton or Livonia but it is just too congested and with all the traffic there, it would take John and hour and a half to get home! It's nice there but it is nice the other way, too! John does have family in Canton and Livonia, they like it but it is just not for us. No offense to Canton and Livonia.
Our taxes on our other house are going to go up. Taxes suck. I told John we could get legally seperated and say I live there, then we could homestead exempt until we move, ha ha. He said o.k. as long as I actually moved over there, what a smart ###! You know John! One day, a house we love will fall in our laps!

11/11/08 04:35 PM #815

Tara Wismar (Nickell)

Jason it actually down to 261,900. The house down the street is over $800,000. I had to look, my brain is scattered lately. My daughter has been a handful the last couple weeks, I think we qualify for super nanny or nanny 911!

11/11/08 04:36 PM #816

April Passen (Ochman)

Tara...I could so kick your A** right now. I am on realtor.com & I fell in love w/a house right around the block from my daughter's school. It has a country feel, but it is in a subdivison. It's $179 on Fordline. Take a look its only 2200 square feet, but I like it. I love the old home feeling & it has a big lot.

11/11/08 04:37 PM #817

April Passen (Ochman)

Oh now I could not do Supernanny, watch it get pointers, but not be on it. I don't want to publicly look like a fool...LOL

11/11/08 04:40 PM #818

April Passen (Ochman)

And Jason I thought you were nuts saying there was an $800,000 home in Riverview...I looked & there are actually 2 listed higher then that...My bad. Strange thing is there not far from my daughter's school.

11/11/08 06:07 PM #819

Jason Leveque

Yea, well those houses have been for sale for years and years now. Just because they are asking $800,000 doesn't mean they will get anything close to that. We were going to move but our house is now worth less than when we built it 8 years ago. So we said screw it and just built a pool instead of moving.
