Happy belated birthday, Bubba!

Happy Birthday Bubba! I never think to check the profiles, sorry. Hope you had a good one.

Beau and Phillie, you guys did an excellent job. It was a great chance to see everyone when you haven't lived in Decatur in some time. Maybe next time you can get some of the other no show slackers to show up.

I can't thank you enough for the opportunity to kick Bubba's ass in golf after all his posturing in the weeks leading up to the big event. What a great way to remember the good old days with a cooler full of beer and nothing but time (and no kids). To Jake, Mule, and Bubba, thanks for making an effort to play.

I could have done without Bubba's dancing. That image is going to haunt me for some time. He must have learned that from Tom Arnold. Anyone get any vidoes on that to post on YouTube?

Everyone take care, the weekend was definitely better than I ever thought it would be.

I'd been pondering doing another photochop in honor of the great Hal Sanders, and I think I finally found a suitable concept for him. I just seemed to get the impression that he was somehow in the middle of all the shenanigans from the past, not necessarily realizing the significant impact that they might've had on society or our lives up through the DHS experience. The file name pretty much says it all.

Hello everyone. I am sorry I missed the events. We had a last minute change in plans and things just didn't work out.

I will plan to be there for the 25th reunion. I also will keep in touch with everyone on here.

Let us know the awards and winners...etc.

God Bless and miss you all!

Nice Photochop Mark. Since you posted that, I guess I'll go ahead and come clean--it was really Hal that I got my picture taken with --not Tom Hanks.....we thought we could pull it off since he bears such a strong resemblance--you'll have to work on your hair next time, Hal.

09/21/08 09:52 PM #1906

Hal Sanders

Mark- very funny loved it!!!!!!! .....its an honor to be a part of your artwork!!!!!!!!

And now you wonder why I took so many pictures. Oh the shenanigans I could possibly come up with now. :D

Seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed that, Hal. Next time Beverly, maybe get a picture of Tom Hanks from his Bosom Buddies role. Or was that Hal in drag as well?!

All-
Sounds like everybody had a great time. Maybe I'll be a little closer next reunion. I was in Saudi Arabia for the 10 year and Hawaii for this one. If I'm on the mainland for the 25th, I will NOT miss it - especially if we keep the Sure-Shot award!

09/23/08 01:29 AM #1909

Amanda Steedley

It was great to see everyone at the reunion events Tom and I were able to attend. We just got home last night so I am still catching up on reading the posts since we left for Decatur (parents have dial up, Florida condo didn't have connection except in lobby). Everyone who is asking about pictures, I will edit and post mine whenever I can get to them. I hope everyone had a safe trip home. I can't wait for the 25th (since we didn't get to stay for the moonshine this time because of our early flight Sunday)!

Amanda, if you need a place to host, shoot me a private message, and I'll send you the administrator password for that photobucket account that I put up. I'm glad both of you made it home safe, and it was great seeing you and meeting Tom during that time! :)

09/24/08 10:41 AM #1911

Amy Glover (Alsup)

Okay....so I wasn't able to attend the reunion festivities - life just happens sometimes and we can't fit in all the things we want to. I sure missed out on a good time. The pictures are awesome-----we at my house are in for a 25 year for sure, come hell or high water!!! I am soooooooooooooooo addicted to this site. I check all of the profiles and have messaged some folks, as well. If any of you sent me messages before, I got locked out of my profile and couldn't check anything. If I didn't answer, it wasn't because I was being snooty...just didn't know. Anyways...you all are sooo funny. I have laughed and laughed at the comments and commentary of the weekend's events. You all look great, as well. It was nice seeing some familiar faces from the past in the pictures. Take care all and hopefully see you soon!!!

Candy Verner (Bramlett)

How's everyone's week going? Must be pretty busy, since the posting has slowed to a crawl. Hope you're all having a good week, at least.

09/25/08 11:43 AM #1913

Mark Button

I'm in New Jersey at the moment, Candy. You can be the judge of how my week is going from there. :D

Candy Verner (Bramlett)

Mark,
I know absolutely nada about New Jersey. ButI have heard it isn't the most pleasant place. Hope you can get home soon...and safe.

Crickets, I keep hearing crickets. And no, I'm not talking about the phone either.

Beau, Phillie, I forgot to say thanks so much for working so hard to put together such a fun reunion.

Anyone looking for entertainment next Sunday Oct. 25 check out Tom with Tommy Lee on Discovery Green channel. The show is called Battleground Earth and is the episode about the Renaissance Fair. In LA it is on at 7 pm.

Philomena Compton

Amanda - You are welcome - it was my pleasure! I have a question about your post...next Sunday? or Oct. 25th? on the program on television?

Let me know!

EVERYONE: I've sent an e-mail to all of you! The website administrator is performing maintenance tonight (Sept. 28th) and a few nights over the next week or so. You may be unable to log on. Just wanted to let everyone know! The website will remain up to get ready for the 25th! Love you all!!!!!!!!

09/29/08 11:27 AM #1918

Molly Baldwin (Goodwin)

Hey guys - thanks for recognizing Libby's arrival! I agree with Amy.....I'm now definitely coming to #25! I talked to Prentiss who shared with me the parking lot "tailgating" party on Saturday night and I was truly jealous! I remember Michelle Decelles and I spent the 10th drinking cheap red wine out of the trunk of someone's car and smoking obscene numbers of cigarettes. Sounds like the concept has developed into something much classier with the inclusion of lounge chairs, veggie burgers and a real live grill!

09/29/08 02:10 PM #1919

Allyson Hughes (Virden)

Molly- Don't forget Grandpa's Apple Pie Moonshine. Cocke county's finest.
Hey Beau, I spelled it correctly!
Molly- we missed you as well. I hope you and the little one are doing ok. See you in 5.

09/29/08 05:53 PM #1920

Amanda Steedley

Sorry about that Phillie. I'm still a bit brain dead. It is this Sunday, October 5th @ 7 pacific and 10 eastern so I'm assuming 9 central. The channel used to be Discovery Home, but is now called Discovery Green or Planet Green, depending on who you ask.

Here's a link to the listing...the times listed are Eastern http://planetgreen.discovery.com/tv-schedules/series.html?paid=237.15647.124140.35851.9

Heather Dugger (Piermattei)

Hi Mark,
Thank you for getting back to me about the password. I just logged in and it is working now. I might have had the link disabled or something...a mystery : )

You're more than welcome, Heather. :)

In case anyone has pictures that would like to be added, just shoot me a private message for the administrator password for that photobucket site. I certainly wasn't looking for it to just be the pictures that I took from the three-day weekend, and I know there are plenty of them out there that I've found from some of you that have posted them on your profiles or your myspace pages. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what pictures Amanda Steedley and Beth Fentriss took from the event, as well as anyone else that has yet to post any.
