Reunion Planning Meeting

April 21, 2008

 

 The first meeting began at 4:30.  Members present were Tonya Miller, Angie Burgess, Travis Wilkerson, Ronald Shaw, Tia Griffin, Stacey Leddon, Lora Brazil, Shannon Morrison, Paul Vogel, and Dennis Smith.

  1. The following Sub-Committees Chairs and Co-Chairs and  were appointed.     

Member Notification:  To use any available means to try to contact 100% of the class of 1988.  Please create a list and annotate a detailed list of all attempts.  Please utilize distant members that wish to help.

Family Day:  To select a suitable location and plan for those family activities desired by the consensus of the group. Please provide options for baby-sitting services.  Consider forming a new sub-committee if enough interest in generated for organized events on the 16th and/or 19th.

            Homecoming Game:  To coordinate seating, travel (if  needed),   class shirts, etc.

Reunion Site:  To procure a suitable location for the banquet event and lodging for all class members that request accommodations.

Banquet Food/Entertainment/Decorations:  To determine the desired meals, decorations, and entertainment for the banquet.

Memorial: Determine the best method to honor our class mates who are no longer with us.  Please develop plans for the website, reunion book and, the actual banquet.

Historian/Multi Media:   Gather all available pictures, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia to produce video and slideshow presentations for the website and the banquet.  Consider remote video conferencing during the banquet for distant members that wish to participate, but could not attend.  Take pictures during meeting to add to the website.  Coordinate photographer and reunion book.

           All Sub-committees will have their reports on line by April 28.  There reports will contain surveys for all members to complete to assist in making the best selections on behalf of the entire class.
