Hello to everyone, I hope you're all well, especially those of you who may have been affected by the recent storms. I took an opportunity to update my profile, and in doing so noticed a section where you could say something nice about yourself. So in an act of shameless self promotion, I included a link to a video you might find enjoyable, if you enjoy this sort of thing. Again, I hope everyone is well and would like to extend my thanks and congatulations on such a lovely site, and especially to Vinnie Curcio, whose life I made difficult for several days while trying to find a suitable photo for the now and then portion of the reunion extravaganza. By the way, I've changed my mind, let's use the Jerry Mahoney picture, it's pretty close to what I look like now, thanks.

John Ryan asked that the following be added re the blooddrive:  He's thinking that instead of a set time or a bloodmobile, he provide interested parties with a code word and they visit the Paramus Blood Center during a certain period of time. He also wants you to know that if you are ineligible to donate, you can always send a friend.  Let him know if you are interested in donating blood in honor of the deceased members of the Class of '73 - and he'll send you the code word to use withing the set timeframe.  You can reach John using his email that he provided above or send him a private message using his profile page on this site.  Thanks, John!

Would like to encourage classmates to begin connecting here if you would like to have a roomate to share your hotel costs or if you're open to sharing your room to help out another......

To the NVRHS Class of ’73,

To say that this was the greatest weekend, would be an understatement.  To be able to be together with so many of our classmates, to talk, to dance, to reminisce, and to get caught up after all of these years was wonderful beyond words!  The hotel venue was excellent, the pictures from then and now were so beautifully presented, the presentations and prizes were perfect, and the tour of the high school was such a great touch!  In fact, everything was superb!

Major thanks go out to our reunion committee for putting together the best reunion EVER!  Trish, Colleen, Vinny, and Patty, you guys did such an amazing job!  And Cindy and Lee, thanks for everything that you both did in getting everything started for us.  I know that we can’t possibly comprehend all of the behind the scenes effort that went into putting this whole reunion together, but I can tell you that every bit of everyone's work is so very much appreciated!!

As you know, there’s never enough time to talk to everyone as much as we would like to, as the time always goes by so quickly.  If I missed anyone, or only spoke for a few minutes, know that I’d have spoken for hours to each of you if that were possible.

Our class definitely is special, as each of you have always known.  This wonderful weekend and the phenomenal turnout has again proven that.  It is my sincere hope that we will continue to stick together through life’s “adventures”, as we always have, and that we will keep seizing any opportunities that allow us to get together, wherever and whenever possible.  We are truly fortunate to have each other!!

Here’s to the NVRHS Class of ’73! You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!

NV Classmates from 1973,

I am beyond  grateful to Tricia, Colleen, Vinnie, Cindy, and Lee for your individual and collective contribution(s) in putting together the most outstanding reunion possible.  Thank you a million times over.  Your attention to detail from start to finish was evident to all of us.  You tracked down classmates that were out of the loop for many years.  Your communications were enthusiastic, informative, and very welcoming.  Your venue choice was excellent, Friday night’s pre-gathering was spot on, and Saturday’s activities heartfelt.  But, I have to say you saved the best for last, because when I stepped into that ballroom on Saturday night, I was blown away. The décor was professional caliber, and the digital and live presentations  over the top (both humorous and touching).  The food selections were abundant.  The music…well, we are the music generation, after all!

Are you guys as exhausted as I am?  On Sunday morning my voice was raspy with gravel overtones.  (That’s what happens when you don’t shut-up for nearly 3 days).  I did notice others in the same predicament over breakfast.  Truth be told, I am coming down from an amazing sensory overload experience…. absolutely no drugs involved.  My blurred vision did begin to clear on the way home.   Let’s face it, there is no way to fit size 30 font on a name tag.  (For those of you at the back of the bar on Friday night, you have to admit my flashlight did come in handy.)   I had the time of my life!

I’m still smiling after seeing so many classmates.  I must give a shout out to spouses, too….you may have been in the minority but you fit right in, and I enjoyed conversations with all.  New and old friends abound.  Ginny, you are right, we are the lucky ones.

Cindy Sapiro, thank you for handling the transportation portion of our adventure.  I did notice one of your ears fell off on the ride home….I’m so sorry.  Cindy, it’s a blessing to connect with you after all these years.  I look forward to get-togethers in the future.

I wish everyone the best possible life in the years ahead.

Warning:  I’m planning a road trip in the coming year and I know where you live!

Kind regards,

Sharon Daniels

P.S. Let’s post those photos!

Classmate, Donnie Quarles, sent me a message this morning he wishes to share with everyone.  He's having his 2nd major 45's party on Saturday, June 28th at his home in New York State.  Time:  approx. 1 p.m. - 1 a.m. at 86 Ridge Rd., Montgomery, NY ... about 1 hour from Bergen County.  All '73 alumni welcome.  If interested bring your drink of choice and a grill item.  He has a huge year and a pool - and hopes to see many of you there.

If you have questions, send Donnie a message through his profile page on this website.

Hope you all have a great time!!!

Hey Trish,

Thanks for posting the message - looking forward to the 45's party and seeing all those who can attend.By the way, it's huge "yard", not huge "year"!  Though I am getting larger by the minute, I did not have a "huge year". When my ship comes in, I'll probably be at the airport!!!

         Best always,

      Donnie!

Hey Donnie.  Huge year, huge yard.....I would say you have a huge heart!  Have a great party.  Sorry I will not be there to enjoy it. Maybe next time!  ML.

Hey Don, my wife and I would love to come to your party. The only problem is the ride home.I still party properly so a drive home at the end of the night might not be the wisest thing to do.No, no, no sleered speach, or falling on my face any more, but definatly should'nt drive. Can you suggest a local hotel, motel, or is your yard big enough to pitch a tent? Also, if I pull into town and ask where Donny Q lives will they know, or will you be giving us an address. Greg

Hey guys,

I will post directions up for my party shortly. Dealing with my Dad who is very ill now in Cape Cod.

Yes, there are hotels within a few minutes of my house and plenty of property to pitch a tent as well.

More soon

HI all,

Sad news - DAQ JR. (my Dad) passed away on June 7th of a very painful bone cancer at 92,with al of us by his side. Dad had a great life, recently celebrating his 92nd B.D. and 64th wedding aniversary.  Out of timing and respect, I'm postponing my 45's party until Sat. Sept. 20th. I'll send out more info. and directions in August. Sorry for the change and look forward to seeing you.
