How odd. I have nothing to do with posting the birthdays, it happens automatically. Probably the system recognized your name, but only once. In any case, happy belated to you both! Hope it was memorable.

Hugs, Cheryl

Sorry I haven't checked this page in a while--a long while.  Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers (and possibly grandmothers?).   Since my sister (younger) is now a grandmother, I have to admit to the possibility that we are all of grandparenting age!

At any rate, my best wishes to everyone!

And my deepest sympathy to Rich.

On a good note - Happy (belated) Father's day to all the other dads.

On a sad note - Mrs Novellino, the current librarian at MC was murdered in her home on Saturday.  According to the paper she was stabbed 80 times.  She was such a sweet lady.  Let's all keep her in our prayers.

Maureen, Cheryl, Elmer, and many others.  Thanks for your thoughts about mom.  She was, and remains, an inspiration.  I cannot tell you how much your words, Maureen your card, and Cheryl your note meant. Faith and Hope, along with Greg and Lee joined us at the wake and funeral.

I will update my profile on this site with more recent family pictures in the next few weeks.

Coincidentally, I passed the "AARP Line" yesterday, yep 50, joining (and soon to be followed by) many other friends (who's next?).  Funny, I don't feel 50.  My middle son Tim tells me I don't look it, and truthfully I hadn't given it much thought as it crept up on me.  I imagine most of the class of '78 is the same in this regard, we don't define ourselves by traditional measures such as age, instead we live life without those constraints.

Best wishes to all.

Rich Hettinger

I think this picture was taken sometime in the late 80's.

I just got back from spending a few days with my mother, sister and her girls in Landing, NJ.  I have been trying for the longest time to sit down and write on this thing.  Anyway, Hope all is well with everyone.  I, my wife Frances and 4 yr old daughter Stella are living back on Long Island after a 5 and a half yr stint in Tampa while I was on the road a bit with that southern rock band the "Outlaws" and a year or so in Nashville with a couple of Gospel stars. (That was very weird coming from my background.)  I did get to perform at the "Grand ole Opry", and do much traveling in tour buses all over the south and midwest.

Let me go back now a bit and give you the short summary.

1978-1983:  Played in a bunch of bands all over NJ, NY and Conn. (Including "Southern Cross, Rat Race Choir" and Randy Jackson from "Zebra".  Got Married to Liz, from Parsippany.  Moved to Long Island in 1982.

1983-2003:  Divorced Liz 1983.  Joined a Band on Long Island in 1984 called "Fullhouse", played all over the northestern states.  Made lots of money, bought and sold a couple of houses.  Met and played with a bunch of rock stars and baseball players.    Married Frances 1994.  (During this time, 1991 or 1992, my good friend Rick LaChance showed up at the "Boulevard Pub" in Lake Hopatcong, where we played just about every Thursdsay from 1991-1993, or roundabout, to see me.  Now, I cannot locate him as of yet, but if any of you run across him, PLEASE inform him that I have been hunting his butt down and will find him one day).

2003-present:  Retired from "Fullhouse" in 2003 after 20 years and moved to Florida, then Nashville.  Now we are back on Long Island and I'm back with "Fullhouse", which is where I'll be until Stella growes up and takes care of Franny and myself.

See the "Fullhouse" website.    www.fullhousemusic.com    for my schedule.  Please call or write ahead of time if your planning to come see me.  Sometimes I still go out to do other shows.  A good show for some of you to go is our "end of summer concert" at Overlook Beach, next to Robert Moses Beach on Sat. August 28th.  It's just a little east of Jones Beach on Ocean Pkwy, for any of you that have ever gone to see a show at Jones Beach Theater.

Everyone, please take care.  I hope to hear from you.  I have faith we will see each other soon.

God bless, Angus

I just watched the segment on Faith and Hope. How great to see them, so smart, so successful and still side by side with the same enthusiasm in their faces that I remember from when we were kids. Congratulations Hope. Congratulations Faith. I am really proud of you!

Love Lisa

Still hold an active Florida Residential Contractor license, but only do small stuff now... mostly small tile and glass block projects .. some remodeling, if it doesn't conflict with my full time inspector job..

Weggy, I don't do Facebook ... yet lol.. we shall see.. glad to see you here ..I will try to get in here more often

Deane... are you saying you are a HAM??? That would be too cool.. If so,,, whats the callsign and what class? Maybe we can get on HF and chat sometime.. My son Billy got his Tech at 9 years old... and his General at 11.. My call is AE4IQ... Billy's is KJ4OIX

Wish you all the very best again.. Take care..

Bill G.
