Greg M. , Congrats on your son's wedding.

Maureen B., When we sold my parents house, The buyers wanted us to deal with the Aluminum wiring, We received a couple of bids from Electricians. Instead of getting it fixed we gave them a check at closing for the buyers to hire their own electrician. This will keep you out of Contractor Hell and expedite the transfer of the house.

Good Luck

Greg N.

Bez, I remember Peggy Duphiney. Did she leave us before graduation? Didn't realize those were her brothers on Amazing Race. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you'll have luck with another good offer on the house.

Greg M, Congrats on the happy news!

ok Just heard 3rd Quake in NNJ 2.3 on the Richter. Wonder if this is the prelude to the Big one expected in Manhattan.....

We are having incredibly nasty weather here down south of Atlanta. Softball sized hail breaking car windows, sirens continuing to go off, just unbelieveably crazy! We're all in for the night but can't imagine what it will look like outside when dawn breaks.

Geez Debbie, what the heck is going on down there? What did you wake up to? :/

Oh, and Happy Birthday to Maryann Mullen! Mark another one off the list of 1 step closer!! =)

We only had one small tree come down in the woods behind us. But we know several people whose cars were destroyed by the softball sized hail balls! It was simply scary here last night. Tornadoes touched down with 10 miles of us. We're so thankful all is ok. Hope Maureen Murphy and Kathleen Gallagher and Pat T are all ok!

Happy Birthday MaryAnne. Hope it is a good one for you.

Deb, I saw some of your hail storm on the news. Holy Cow...those were some bigguns!

Happy Birthday, Maryanne M,

Debbie K, Hope your house needed a new roof, If not it is getting one anyway. Since I have been down here we have had 2 roofs replaced. The cars were under cover. It is a pain in the neck to deal with. But when you see the damage to the cars, Imagine if that was your noggin! It is amazing more people dont get hurt.

Good Luck

Greg-

Luckily our neighborhood missed the hail storm by a few miles. We just put on a new roof 10 months ago due to a hail storm on 3/15/2008. I think earthquakes and tornadoes are love notes from mother nature! I sure hope this roof gets a few years out of it!

Happy B'day MaryAnn!

Thanks everyone for their birthday good wishes. One of the nice things about discovering this site is everyone on it it the same age. I don't have to feel like I am the oldest person in the room. It is great! And really, it is fine to be 49. Almost wish I could be 50 and just get it over with. The scary part is I remember 16 very clearly and i forget I am an old lady.
Love to all.

Maryanne,

If it makes you feel any better, I am older than you are.

Maureen F. I will get a pic with the kids and "Molly" in it and post it soon!!

Maryanne..... HBD!!

Greg N..... We had to deal with that aluminum wiring business too!! It was like $20 per outlet thoughout the entire house!!!! Smart move letting the buyer deal with it!!

Lisa.... I'm heading to NM to visit my aunt 4/13. I offered to do a road trip with her to Phoenix to visit another aunt. I'll let you know!!!

Greg M.... Congratulations on your son's engagement. I hope it isn't making your daughter feel a little sad though?!? Actually I'm "ass"uming that she's upset over the divorce. Maybe she's thrilled?!? I certainly hope so. I'm still a little amazed how the whole damn family ended up in the medical field!! I'll volunteer to clean up AFTER the reception! :o) By the way, how did you end up in Hawaii? Did you go to school there? (sorry i'm babbling)

Debbie..... If you can believe this, I STILL haven't picked out tile!!!! What is it?? 6 or 7 months now?!?! I should have held you & Lisa hostage in Oct. Such a problem making a friggin decision the past few yrs!!!

The earth moved for me this morning. " thanks Honey"
Anyway. Deb the only florist I could recommend is the Mendham village florist. Hopefully that's helpful.
Bucky i hope your wrestles are doing well.
Lisa if you stopped with mundane BBS I would surely miss it.
Glad to hear everyone is doing well.
As much as I love the snow and winter I can't wait for the spring.

JoAnn, Good news for the Duphiney brothers -- they finished third on The Amazing Race 3. I remember them on it, but didn’t realize the connection to Peggy. They even have their own website, kenandgerard.net. Thanks again to Bez for sharing the news.

Hey guy's
We had a good weekend wrestling at the state finals. My 189 pounder took 4th and my 285 pounder won his first 2 matches
and was winning his third before he seperated his shoulder,I think he could of won it if that didn't happen to him. He probabaly could of wrestled his next match but I didn't want him to risk his football scholorship (sp)He has a full ride to the Univ. of S. Dakota.
May the earth keep shaking for you all
Buck

Hey Buck,

Nice job with those Grapplers in the States. I am sure it is because of the Coach. neat picture of the UFO there.

I don't know about the earth moving in my house, but agree with that sentiment.

So Greg, any further details on Carols Rambling questions or we sticking with the one liners?

02/23/09 07:25 PM #1380

Maureen Farrell

Buck - Congrats to you and your wrestlers for the fine performances. Wishing a speedy recovery for the young man with the injury! Good of you to watch out for his future scholarship.

Speaking of sports… Deb, will you be hosting us for the ACC Tourney in March?

02/23/09 07:52 PM #1381

Lisa Coppola

Hi All,
Hope everyone's been fine. I went on a hike this weekend to a place here in Tucson called Seven Falls but which, after my less than graceful header onto the rocks, shall henceforth be known as "8 Falls." My average is one fall per hike so I didn't want to screw up my statistics.

Bucky, sounds like your boys did good. Who was our heavy weight wrestler when we were in school? Was it Steve Bourdette? I have this other name in my head....somebody Zemzicki??? I don't think anyone was anywhere near 285 back then were they?

Carol, Let me know if you're coming to Phoenix. My Mom and he husband are coming to Tucson in April but they leave on the 13th to go back home so that might work out.

Maureen F.
I hope to win the Dream Home but would rather have had that spectacular log cabin of a year or so ago. That would really be my dream home!

Greg M.
Man of few words...nice man of few words.

Margaret, I will keep the BBS flowing just for you. (Refer to the entire preceding paragraph).

Tom, Thank you for the Irish whiskey...I am with Carol...barely figuring out that Facebook..or Spacebook as I usually call it, stuff. Have a story to share with you but will send it directly. Hugs to all of you.
Lisa

Maureen- Yes, I am definitely on for hosting March Madness month! (I think thats what you're referring to!)

Lisa- 8 falls? Yikes! Hope you're ok. I can only imagine how beautiful of a hike that had to be. Pictures???

I am posting a picture of my new niece...she's a bright spot in our lives!
