Greg Nesbitt Maureen, I was in CA on business in a big steel building and they had a 4.9. Not being from there it felt like you were standing on a bridge and a big truck was crossing it, What was really strange was that the building groaned and the ceiling tiles fluttered. What was funny that everyone in the Cube farm stuck their heads up like they were Praire Dogs. Greg N

Bubba Sunshine, You are so right. I had dinner with my husband and some friends last night and they all agreed that I am always the likely suspect. They know me too well, as did those nuns who gave me so many demerits. I was even yanked off cheerleading one year due to my grades and bad attitude. Bad attitude still a problem, but grades have improved significantly. I’m cheering for your wrestlers!

Anyone watch Amazing Race? Loved the “flying” Swiss cheese challenge.

Anyone see the HGTV Dream House this year? It is in Sonoma, California. Frankly, I’m not that impressed, but maybe they are trying to keep it low key given the state of the economy. I toured the Lake Lure Dream Home before it was awarded and liked it, but was disappointed in some aspects of the design. There was no place for all my shoes. Very limited storage space and the big furniture made it difficult to navigate through some rooms. Other than that, it was very well built and attractive. They don’t seem to design them for everyday life. However, if I’m going to pay taxes on a $2 million prize, then I want a place to store my shoes!

And Tom I hear you about the state of the economy. I am helping my daughter with her financial aid applications, and the onslaught of new gray hairs as I am completing the financial info is fogging my vision!

Bubba Sunshine - how did your boys do at State? Is 200+ lbs ewight class considered alot for high school? My daughter went to State for the h.s. swim team this weekend and they took third! YAHOO! Now she's trying out for Varsity track, can you believe she's related to me?????!!

I see that the NJ earthquakes have made the news in the NY Times, and the UK Telegraph to name a few! Stay safe! Hi Deb,

The state wrestling tournement is this weekend,but the wrestlers get to leave school on Thur. The heaviest a wrestler can be is 285,so when I have to wrestle a division one football player/ wrestler you have to learn how to cheat,and I do that very well. Tell your daughter congrats.

I think Maureen was about as big a trouble maker as uhmmm let's say Michelle Buggy or maybe Kathie Noonan...Those were the other 2 HUGE trouble makers I remember.
Bubba Sunshine, I hope that Kid is about 7 feet tall...oh I pity his opponents and I don't want to think of what kind of cheater moves you might have to employ if he gets you in the dreaded half nelson.

By the way...I know I am still writing mundane, BBS (figure it out) but I am having fun doing it!

I was just going to ask Maureen Bez if she felt the quake the other day!! Can you believe it?? I don't read this for a few days and man, you guys are going to town. I can't read it all in one sitting.

Anyway,
Maureen F. hi again....sorry to say but Senatore's is out of business, think it was sold and the family moved away. My brother and sister in law had their reception there. You wouldn't recognize it around here. It has been built up with stores and more stores.

Sooo, I have a mini poodle, its actually my daughters, but she likes me best!! lol....

Deb, congrats on being an aunt!!!!! That is great news. We spent Valentine's Day at my brothers, he has 4 boys. It was soo much fun. I played Wii (Indiana Jones) or tried to play it. I really had no clue what I was doing.

Thomas J. Cornine Hey Joanne, Well you missed the excitement of a couple days ago, Maureen F. (Imelda)started picking on us guys and it was real bad. We had to talk Bubba Sunshine off the ledge there for awhile. Then Bez said the earth moved for her in Boonton. Greg came in and spoke about how it once moved for him in CA. I think that covers the overall story.

I would have to agree with Lisa regarding "Imelda". I truly don't remember her EVER getting into any trouble. Maureen F. - did you ever drink "BoonesFarm" with us before we would cheer???

This is for the girls from Freshman HomeEc - in cleaning again at Mom's yesterday, I actually found the apron that we made in class. I couldn't believe that my Mom still had it. I will post a picture soon; having some problems with the camera.

And, yes, JoAnn, another earthquake. It felt more like an explosion. I do remember being in Hawaii with my sister back in 1981. We were on the island of Hawaii in a gift shop and everything started shaking. That was scary!!!!

P.S. - Concerning the Amazing Race, does anyone remember Peggy Duphiney because 2 of her brothers were on the show a few years back. TTFN

Maureen Bezold (Como) Thanks Greg; we are making progress but it certainly is slow and agonizing; and to top off the agonizing part, the buyers now want us to water proof the basement. What do they not GET that we are selling the house "AS IS". ARGHHHH!!! I forgot to mention in my earlier post - CONGRATULATIONS AUNTIE DEB!!! :)

My son Steven called last night to tell us that he is now officially engaged. His fiancee is Joy Yamamura from Maui. They've been dating for years and went to pre-marrige counseling, so it was no huge surprize - but still great news. Steve is 25 and works in Honolulu as a Cardiac ICU RN. Joy is 23 and is a Radiology Tech. There's a family photo that includes the two on my profile. They're thinking about August or September. Cool.
