Does anyone know what happens when you take a week off from work to relax and have fun....YOU GET SICK THATS WHAT!!!!
Can you believe it? I'm gonna try to make the best of it anyway.I'm gonna act like I can breathe through my nose and I'm gonna hold my eyelids open with toothpics after I take that Alka Seltzer Cold and Flu pm stuff so I don't fall asleep at 7:00. Sorry to be a whiner...just tonight I promise.

Lisa - Poor dear! You are clearly entitled to a wonderful week! These symptoms must be your body’s way of preparing your eyes for tear drops when those Mildcats get pounced by the Cardinals.

Honestly, you deserve a joyful week. Hope you feel better soon and that the Wildcats advance to the Elite Eight!

Lisa - I’ll be eating some humble crow pie for breakfast. Nothing to gloat about since the Villanova Wildcats trounced the Blue Devils. Good luck to your Wildcats!

Maureen, I rooted for them. I really did, but they were never really in the game. Sorry to see you go down. Let's just hope I'm not eatin' pie with you! 12 vs 1 (ahhhh)

Maureen
BIG piece of pie for me please !!!!! WAAAAAAAHHHHH. That was as horrible as it gets. It was like a high school team playing a a great college team....or.... maybe Louisville cheated....yeah, that's probably what happened.
anyway kids, there's always next year right!

Maureen and Lisa- I am finally getting to watch MSU tonight! And I'm thrilled Villanova is still in it...sorry Maureen. So now Kansas needs to follow the yellow brick road back home tonight!

Lisa - Not too shameful, so no pie for you -- we’ll let you eat stale birthday cake! Yes, cheaters! I think I saw a Louisville Slugger. Guess we should be good sports and pull for MSU since Deb is probably going to take the grand prize anyway.

Deb - Looks like your wish was granted and Auntie Em is serving up some pie in Kansas! We’ll let you have the glory this year, but we might try to settle the score next year.

Can you believe the men don't have one word to say about the Tournament. What's wrong with you guys?? Good game MSU!...I only wish I had stayed up but I fell asleep 'cause I am still sick as a dog and Arizona loosing by such a degrading margin didn't help.
JoAnn Thanks for thinking of me. No B-day wish from you will ever be rejected no matter how late!
xoxo Lisa

Yes really?! How come none of the men are interested? Christina and I stayed up until the bitter end of the MSU game! I can't believe they pulled it off, was really worried they'd be hauling back to MOO land in Lansing! My dad is thrilled (and my brother too!

On another note, Christina has been accepted into the University of GA! This was her first choice so you can imagine how thrilled she is. We are those bad DAWGS now!

Game? What game?

03/28/09 08:35 PM #1545

I think it's more fun to see little kids play the game. They are not as worried about sneaker endorsements and such. Our idols should be the average who do extraordinary things for other people, Our Service Men and Women, Volunteers who help those in need, Those who help complete strangers, Look at the folks in North Dakota. Fighting for their town and neighbors, I am more concerned about how the average Schmo(How in the Hell do you spell Schmo?) gets thru versus how Texas A&M does in any Tourney. Just my 2 cents. ( Soon to be One).

Hi Greg N.,
I don't disagree with anything you said. It's hard to watch as all those people try to sandbag their homes and watch their communities go underwater. The troops are fighting for all of us and I never loose site of that. Today I went to see my best friends kids play College baseball and enjoyed it a lot. These are certainly more important then NCAA basketball...but that also is some kid's dream, and a parent's pride and other good things too. I don't take it too seriously, just enjoy the excitement of much of the competition...and rootin' for my alma mater.
Always enjoy your thoughts on things!

Lisa, I failed to mention that I married a Sports nut. In other words I can't get away from it. Loretta went to LSU and when they used to play A&M in football, I would tell everybody that no matter what the score was, I would lose. It is pretty cool to see kids you know compete at that level. May be I don't have the energy to follow it. Hope your team wins. Just don't tell Loretta.

Happy Birthday Bez!

Having served witness to some of the finest Crusader basketball teams -- guys and gals from our class -- who could blame us for becoming Basketball Fanatics!

Deb - Congratulations to Christina on her acceptance to Georgia. Go Bulldogs! Looks like three of your teams are in the Final Four. Who do you pick for the winner? MSU? By the way, did you hear that Seth Curry will be joining the Blue Devils? Too bad they overlooked his brother, Stephen, a few years back.

Lisa - Hope you are feeling better. How’s Noah?

Hi Birthday girls, Hope (get it ) you all have wonderful birhdays!! You deserve the best.

Maureen, Noah is surprisingly hanging in there. Certainly not looking better, but not appearing any worse either. I love that little guy so much!
I am still sick but dragging my tail into work because maybe they'll send me home and that will fly better than calling out sick after a week of vacation. Also, my Dept. is so short handed. I really hate to leave my coworkers stranded. I only have 2 of the final four correct...How did you do. My winner, Pitt, is out so so much for that....
Hope your day is great.
Birthday girls, Make a big fabulous wish!!!!

Happy Birthday Bez!! Maureen Bez-Como...you know who I mean...I got it in under the wire, with an hour to spare.
Hope your day was a happy one!!! :)

My goodness Lisa, what happened?? Isn't the nice warm sunny Arizona weather supposed to make you feel good? I sure hope you feel better soon. Thats the pits when its your special day and all you want to do is hide under a blanket with tissues. Feel better fast!! Don't eat any cake till you can actually taste it!

Deb,
Congrats on Christina! What will she major in or hasn't she decided yet. Let me know...was it hard to decide what college she wanted to go to?

I'm finally on the mend. I went to work today and ironically it made me feel better! Go figure.

Greg,
We all share your appreciation for the men and women serving our country to protect each and everyone of us. My best friend's husband is a colonel in Afganistan right now and I know how incredibly difficult it is for her to go without phonecalls. Prayers for all these men and women are always in my heart!
In the meantime, I do enjoy sports (probably not as much as Loretta) to help keep my own sanity. I will probably pick MSU as the winner, who can believe they are playing UCONN?!!! Couldn't beleive Villanova pulled that win off the other day. What a game! and who is that fourth team??? hehehe!!!
bez - happy birthday a day late. I wish you 49 more years of happiness and good health!
lisa- glad to hear Noah is hanging on!

Other than watching our Kids play or the MCHS team when we were in high school, I really don't have an interest in Basketball. Sorry to say. Soccer is my sport of choice as both my boys play. My Son Christopher is on the Ocean Wizards, ranked number 9 in the state in his age group. Matt is playing on a Toms River travel team, Both love it so it is Liverpool, Man U., Chelsea, AC Milan and Red Bull NY.

and we are hoping to go see Chelsea play AC Milan in Baltimore of all places .....
