Who am I supposed to root for????

Deb - Good respectable run for MSU. Better luck in the title game next year. Looks like none of us won the bracket game!

Lisa - Who did you pick? No hard feelings if you went for the Tar Heels. Hope you are feeling better now that you're back at work.

I guess it's time to switch off the basketball topic. I am having a reflective week anyway. You know, one of those weeks where you begin to ponder what is the meaning of life and does my life have a purpose and what should I be doing to make myself a better person and live a better life and all that deep stuff. Luckily, I work with some really great psychologists..... Any of you ever find yourself in this same frame of mind.....
Let's keep chatting. (Certainly doesn't have to be about that stuff though.)
xoxo Lisa

Sorry I haven't been on in a while but "life" has been crazy and I will explain later, but can someone over here on the East coast just let me know if I missed Spring, Summer and Fall and we are back to Winter, because it has been snowing off and on this morning and it is so cold.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELMER!!!! :)

Thomas J. Cornine

Maureen,

I am beginning to think we may have slept thru it. However I remember my older son being mad at me because i got it to snow one year on his brothers birthday (April 9th) but could not get it to snow on his (June 1st)....

Bez - Good to see you back on board.

Lisa - Given your noble career choice, I pray you never doubt the contribution you have made to this world and the people (and animals) you have touched with your talents, compassion, and humor. This world is a better place because of wonderful people like you.

The meaning of life and therapy? I find it in a sugar rush.

Rain, more rain, wind, and dampness! Sure there are flowers, but at what price?

Perhaps Noreen might have something to contribute to help us out of our doldrums!

Happy Birthday Elmer!!! Hope to see you soon! - carol

Elmer, Wishing you a very wonderful birthday. Hope we hear from you soon. Is Mary working you into the ground???

Tom, I pity the poor counselor who would have to deal with both of us at the same time!!! Let's keep chatting is right! I have been enjoying our FB exchanges but you really must consider giving up your life of crime.

Maureen F., Other than that I wish we will one day have the chance to visit in person...what more can I say but Thank you for that lovely compliment!

Bucky,
I can hardly think of anything more fun than you in Aruba celebrating your anniversary and B-day at the same time. I hope you and your wife have the time of your lives. I just may have to check on some flights! ps Promise you'll tell us more about Dr.Buck's Case Studies.(love the pun!)

Bez, Good to hear from you. An Easter Egg hunt could be fun in the snow!!...especially if you DON'T dye the eggs.

Carol, my friend, hugs to you xoxo Lisa

Noreen, I'm ready for any and all advice!

Bucky,

At A&M we did not have "Case Studies" but we did have "Yahoo Beer". When a party was rocking and rolling and the Beer supply was getting low and it was after hours to sell beer, We would don a big Cowboy Hat, Dark Glasses and Track shoes. We would then go to the 7/11 next to Apartment Complex, We would proceed to remove a case of beer from the cooler, go to the clerk, who would in his best Indian acceent let you know he could not sell the beer, We would then throw a $20.00 at Patu, Run out the door and yell "YAHOO". Never got caught and Patu always kept the change. Party On.

Hey Buck,

While going to CCM at night I worked at Bottle King Liquers. in Morris plains and then Livingston. when in Livingston the High end Food shop owner called me in once with the Liquer store owner telling me, "We don't care what you take, as long as it is just you" First time I had Caviar, Pheasant under glass, good wine and Beer. Never ate better. The Combined stores theft rate dropped significantly also. Another Beer Story I was also working Two Guys in Morris Plains for a while (with some of our class mates...)there were 4 suspious Fires which I and 2 others always seemed to be working. After the worst smoky fire which I assisted in fighting I found my Truck had the entire bed line with Cases of Beer must have been 20 cases. the Store Managers way of saying thanks.....

So I see beer trumps basketball hey guys!!!

04/11/09 10:34 AM #1574

Maureen Farrell

Lisa - Amen Corner to that!! A little play on the Masters!

Deb - Are you in Augusta?

04/11/09 09:38 PM #1575

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

oh wow...i step away for a few days and miss so much!

Maureen- no, had too much work to do this weekend for quarterly taxes and year end taxes, but Augusta would have been nice. Have you ever been there? We've driven thru it, but never stayed there. And boy was that basketball game something else, the first 2 minutes of the game said everything. Oh well, at least MSU made it that far. By the way, what is a tar heel? (Got your note by the way and have just not had a chance to respond!)

Not surprised the guys are telling beer stories instead of watching basketball. I don't have any college stories to tell, but I have one from tonight! Friends of ours are coming for dinner tomorrow, so my husband reminded me to pick up the guy's favorite beer: Miller Lite. So I am at the store and see Miller High Life lite and purchase it. When my husband sees it he is just about having a coronary because it was the wrong beer. Who knew High Life is not the same as plain old "Lite"? I didn't! So I had to rush back to get the right stuff since alcohol is not sold here on Sunday!

Tom- is Two Guys still open? My brother lives near one of the founders? Didn't it close? I remember going there alot.

Tom and Greg, great stories! Back in the old day's when I was in my 20'S I was framing house's and in the winter work slowed down. I was living at the time with Mark Krevis and a couple of other numbnuts. I needed a part time job and naturally I went to a liquor store for work. Thats were I met my boss and married her.
Maureen F. Amen to Amen Corner. My wife, (who took advantage of me when I was in my 20's)and her friend sent my friend and me there in 06 and 08.It is the most beautiful places that I have seen. Now if Kenny Perry wins it this year he would be the oldest player ever to win a major. The sad thing about that is he is still a year younger than most of us.
I hope the Easter bunny or the Passover 'possom are good to you all.
Buck

Deb,

You are right Two Guys closed probably 20 years ago, however the company that owned is still alive today...Vornado Realty Trust is that company.

Happy Easter Everyone and Buck I am still laughing about the Passover Possum.....

Rich L - Thanks for posting the update -- we’ll be cheering for you to be presented the award next year.

Lisa - Let’s pick a reunion spot and we’ll meet up in person one way or another!

Deb - Hope you didn’t have any weather related damages. Heard a big one blew through Atlanta the other day. Guess you needed to “duck” from all the wind. I also couldn’t believe how the Masters played out.

Buck - More than one trip to the Masters -- how sweet! You are lucky to have such a caring and thoughtful wife.
