MaryGrace-
Just hang in there with the dr visits. Glad to hear sonny boy is doing better! Sarah was usually the one to be at the dr's....fell out of a tree and had to get stitches, asthma attacks, stepped on a needle and it got lodged totally in her foot and I didn't believe her....! Yes, we've had our share too but they seem to outgrow it - knock on wood! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this it for this year!

Diana-
Got to love the class of '79....they loved to party all right! What's been the biggest surprise from that class?

Lisa: Ed Taylor?

10/07/09 12:25 AM #1862

Lisa Coppola

John,
Funny you should say that. I tried really hard to get Eddie Taylor to come to the reunion...ask Vince... but I failed!! I actually was referring to the Extra terrestrial (sp?) but maybe I made a Freudian slip. Who knew? Stay well. Hope to see you and your groomsman in November if possible.

Lisa: ET the movie? I guess that should have been obvious. But then again, it should have been obvious when my wife said she was considering a German Sheppard for companionship… she meant the dog. But that’s another story.

I see Ed Taylor from time to time. He treasures his time with his sons. They do a lot together including competitive motorsports. He seems to stay pretty busy.

When you get a chance, email me with the details of your trip to NJ so we can drag FT out for a drink. Or better yet, crash his house and raid his wine cellar.
Hope to see you November..

Hi all,
I've finalized my travel plans and I will be in NJ in early November. My flight arrives on the 5th ( Thursday evening) and my niece made plans for me on the 6th (evening...though I should confirm that with her). Maybe we could plan a casual get together for that Saturday or Sunday...the more the merrier. I was wondering about something like the Boonton Tavern??? Does that still exist? I am horribly out of touch with good places to get together, so Maureen B. , maybe you can suggest something. Or if we need to drive a bit to find a good spot, that's fine too. Hopatcong girls...mark your calendars because I want to see all of you. Let's keep it simple so anyone can show up at the last second if they choose. Anymore, it's hard to tell who is reading the blogs on this site and who has dropped away, but I hope anyone who wants to get together will come out...AND NOT JUST TO SEE ME, but to see each other!!! Also, Maureen, if you are busy let me know..I don't want to dump something on you that you don't have time for.
OKay, Looking forward to coming East...I hope to see beautiful fall leaves instead of cactus needles!
Fondly, Lisa

Aerosmith put on a great show last night. They looked and performed remarkably well considering that they are sixtyish and were drunk/drugged out of thier minds for a couple of decades. We wound up on the front row center so my ears are still fuzzy. Worth it though.

"Walk this way" and "Sweet Emotion" and some other Aerosmith songs were written here in Maui. Cool.

If you have time you might want to meet the Lk. Hop. girls at Alice’s Restaurant. It’s a pretty cool new place. You might get Diana to join you as well (unless of course she finds out there’s no dance floor).

Weg: great pics. I can't believe you got that close! You should post them.

Frank and I don't have a very good track record of making these things, but I will try to drag him out. I can guarantee you that everyone will love that restaurant. It’s just half mile from work, so I have dined there a number of times, and it is always excellent. Very conveniently located as well… Rt.15/ 80. Great choice!

Let's see,

Fighting for my life in the Excavation world, One day you make a grand then the next you spend $1200.00 on hydraulic hoses and oil. The oil is $90.00 for a 5 gal. bucket. Oh and by the way you can go thru it like a 12oz. can of Coors light. Not that I would know how fast that can be. Otherwise enjoying being a sort of productive member of society.

Oldest daughter is at Baylor studying to try to get in Nursing. For those who don't know that is in Waco, Which stands for "We Ain't Coming Out" ( Apologies to David Koresh).

I am currently on the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District Board and because there is nothing on TV, I am trying to get on the local Emergency Services District Board. I'll let you know how that little adventure goes.

HI folks,
Just wanted to thank everyone who came out on Saturday night. Despite the little restaurant incident, I had a really good time. I could have had a nice time with all of you just standing around in the parking lot. I hope there will be a next time...and we can do it again...before too long.
Mary Grace, How did it happen that I barely got to chat with you? Next time I am coming directly to Hopatcong!
...and I give Mary's Jim a huge thumbs up for fitting in so perfectly...an honorary classmate!
Tom and Elmer...thanks for bringing the delicious grape juice!
Stay well everyone and enjoy Thanksgiving...At the risk of sounding corny, I consider all of you among my blessings.
Love, Lisa
