Maureen Bezold (Como)

Lisa, as soon as your plans are scheduled let me know and I'll start planning the get together. Mary Fisher was also asking when we are planning our next get together.

Hope all is well with everyone. One more day at the Firemen's Convention in Wildwood Crest and then homeward bound on Monday.

Deb, I saw the news about the flooding in Georgia and hope you and your family are safe.

Maureen F. - Thanks!

Maureen -Yes, thank goodness we were spared. My heart is just bleeding for all those in the flooded areas. You cannot even begin to imagine how widespread the flooding is. Its not one city, or one county....its many counties! We have a supplier outside of Atlanta that we can't get to due to washed out roads, but worse yet, his business is under water. 19 inches of rain in one day is just incredible....now we are just praying the next batch of storms are light so these poor people can begin to clean up. We are counting our blessings here in Peachtree City! Hope Kathy Gallager is ok in Winder...I know they had alot of rain there!

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Deb, my prayers are with you and I also hope that Kathleen is okay in Winder. I unfortunately have not heard from her in quite some time.
Firemen's Convention was a blast until I got a phone call from my sister, Joyce, late Thursday night that my sister, Janice, was going to the hospital for emergency surgery for her bowel, which was falling out of her. (I know, too much information - sorry). She is still in the hospital in Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley), but hoping to be home by this weekend. Please keep her in your prayers.
Okay time to go home and work some more.
Love to all, Bez

Aerosmith is coming to the island next month.

Last year they cancelled at the last minute, which kinda fumed a lot of people here who waited in line for tickets (like me), so I hope they make up for it.
Weg.

be ready to catch him if he starts spinning near the edge of the stage. Enjoy Greg.

Bez-hope your sister-in-law is doing much better! How scary!

All is ok here in PTC for now...we are just hoping the flood waters don't recede this way but since we're quite a distance from any of the Chattahoochee branches, we should be ok. I am still shocked at how huge of an area is devastated - 17 counties! And we are just south of the mess! Please keep all of those families in your prayers.

AEROSMITH?! I'm on my way...............

Bez, thinking of you and wishing your sister a speedy recovery.

Bez, same from me. She should do well. Don't worry.

Deb, Lisa and Maureen, thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. I know she will do well because she is the "energizer bunny"; and the good news is that she came home from the hospital yesterday.

If I was in NJ I'd go with ya! John...Could anyone be more fun then Myrtle??? Go Crusaders!...( ps did anyone besides me think the field and bleachers seemed about 20 times smaller than I remembered them being when we were in school? Time really has warped my memory.)
xoxo Lisa

Greg Marion

Hey Kressman - I think you and I almost WERE kept back! They could have expelled us for conduct, poor attendance, destruction of school property....
I think we (and a few others) were graduated just to get rid of us quietly.

Glad we won the game.
Weg

Oh yeah - I got my Aerosmith tickets. Second row center. Cool! Hope it doesn't rain.

John if you went did you see any other classmates?

Myrtle, Nothing like a little emergency surgery to shake up the weekend! Hope "Sonny Boy" is on the mend.
Bez, Glad your sister is home..probably sore but home nevertheless.
...and if everyone could pray for a Patriots win today so I can have a happy Sven....that would be mucho appreciated.
xoxo Lisa

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Myrtle-wow you had some excitement going on this weekend! Hope sonny boy has mended and is on his way to a full recovery!

Lisa- ok so the Patriots beat the Falcons...I hope Sven is happy but we're not! The Falcons may have lost but they show some promise this season and are on the road to recovery from the whole Michael Vick scandal. Hated to see the eagles won yesterday....sorry Philly fans!

John Kressman

Myrtle, et al: Sorry you guys had to miss a very close game (5-3 Crusaders) with a very exciting finish (field goal with seconds left on the clock). It would have been fun to see a few more 78ers, but everyone knows that “stuff happens”. Glad to hear Ryan is doing better.

I did get to see Vince DeJesus, Diana Robertson and Greg Marion (via cell phone from a ticket line in Maui). Vince looked great, and Diana looked even better (personal preference). Also present, Frank Taylor’s brother Tim with some of his classmates celebrating their 30th later that night. It was exciting to watch the Crusaders win a homecoming game. I wish everyone could have been there. Maybe next year!

Take care, JK

09/28/09 09:04 PM #1854

Lisa Coppola

John, Way to go...keeping the class of 78 spirit alive. I remember Timmy Taylor, just like Frank,or should I say Francis, but one year younger. ...and you are so right about Diana...doesn't the girl age at all??????
ps Score 5 to 3 ??? I thought it was a football game not a soccer match?

Deb, sorry your loss was my gain, but a second Patriot loss would have had me packing a bag for a weekend away! I'm in agreement on the Eagles. A while back, I heard their GM go on about the reasons he wanted Vick. (A bunch of bulldinky I might add.) I hope barking dogs keep him awake every night for the rest of his life..or maybe I don't really hope that... but I just cannot understand, accept or forgive animal abusers. and I certainly do not support giving them millions of dollars worth of "second chances."
We should all be so lucky!

09/29/09 09:01 AM #1855

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Lisa- I couldn't agree with you more about Vick! people in Philly (like my cousins) keep saying he deserves a second chance ...and I say why? so he can rack up the millions all over and do it again? He didn't learn anything. I have no respect for Michael Vick. There was a game towards the end of his career here in Atlanta when the Falcons lost badly (his performance is like a roller coaster, some weeks great, some weeks bad) and this was a really bad week. Well when he walked off the field to go thru the tunnel, fans were booing him and he gave them the finger. I will NEVER forget that image! So I hope he hears barking dogs in his sleep too!

By the way, glad the PATS won.....but I do hope the Falcons continue their decent season. its been hard recovering from the Vick fiasco.

And Diana Robertson? She rocks!

09/30/09 03:17 PM #1856

Diana Robertson (Fidanzato)

Thanks John for the compliment! What a weekend, the class of '79 sure has spirit and likes to party. We all had a great time! Still recuperating but ready to go again. Saturday night Pat Skelly from the class of '79 is in a local band, the bobbleheads, which is playing at McKennas pub on Espanong Road, Jefferson Saturday night if anyone is interested. I will be there for sure.

Lisa: Thanks for your encouragement. There is no question that if you lived closer you would have made it to the game. What I do question is why you did not acknowledge that fancy “et al” I put in my last message? Weren’t you at least a little impressed? As far as the low scoring game… We aren’t getting any younger. Ill take any win, any way, any day. Go Crusaders!

Diana: Sounds like fun. I love live music! This weekend is bad for me, but I will try to pop in.
