We collected nearly 88 lbs of non-perishable food items and were able to donate $1200 for the Des Plaines Self-Help Closet & Food Pantry at our reunion events.

The Self-Help Closet & Food Pantry has been serving the Des Plaines community since 1971 and provides food and clothing to over 1,300 people per month. The Food Pantry relies on donations of foods, clothing and funds from all capable and generous hearts. Food is distributed twice a week, year round. Cash donations are used to purchase food when the pantry supply is low.

The Food Pantry is located at 600 E. Algonquin Road, just blocks from Maine West High School.
