Tom was a good friend and classmate from Burbank Elementry/Jr High.  He was one day, going to be President and actually threw my hand knitted gloves from my aunt out the bus window on the way to a hayride because I was for Nixon, Not Kennedy.

Oh yea Tom was an ardent Democrat.  I remember he and Ken Hissong argued a lot.  He was a friend since about 3rd grade.  He was always laughing.   He was our class president.  He  joined the Domestic Peace corp after high school.  I

Was good friends with Tom at Denby. We were on Donaldson's readers together.

I was tearfully heartbroken to learn that Tom McGraw had passed away.  He was my best friend in junior high and high school.  When I told him I was getting married (Christine), he told me he would be in Canada during that time (Vietnam War).  I really didn't have a chance to ask him to be my best man.  My groomsmen were chosen and some way we came together again.  He hadn't left for Canada. He, of course, came to our wedding and gave a very flattering speech regarding my wife and I.  As we all know, Tom loved to give speeches.

We remained friends, however, we lost touch when we were about 27.  Tom had moved out of state, but we still managed to see each other twice.

Tom was indeed political----way to the left.  I was an independent and we would occasionally talk politics.  We never argued about our positions, but I did often tease him about his.

Even though I was a jock, Tom had no interest in sports.  We supported each other like good brothers.

My wife and I would often talk about finding Tom throughout the years, however, time and family got away from us.  It was always tomorrow.

Does anyone know how to reach Tom's wife, Deanna? Please contact me at jlmiloser1@comcast.net.

Thank you all so very much, Jim Miloser

Tom McGraw and I were very good friends from 1st grade at Burbank, thru Denby and Wayne State.

Tom stood up at my wedding and I believe the last time I saw him was at his wedding reception. I was his

"campaign manager" when he ran for class president (and won) at Denby. We had so many great times

together. I remember once he, Gary Barnes and I tried to skate across Lake St. Clair. We got out pretty far

then a snow storm came up and we could hear ice cracking. We found our way back but it was shear luck.

In junior high, Tom, Gary, Jim Miloser and I were the "Impostors" Our mission was to gamble, drink beer

(when we could get it) and chase girls. As young teenage boys I guess this behavior was typical. We never

got caught. Tom was very smart and being a very liberal Democrat he had a good heart. We lost touch

(marriage, kids, jobs etc.) although I did see him on the news one time. He's sorely missed.

God Speed, Tom.

If anyone knows when he passed away or the circumstances of his death please let me know.
