Hey Rodney, I was wondering if there was a way to set up some type of buddy list that allows classmates to see when each other is online? or on the website? That is only if the class wants something like that.

Yes Rodney I do have the fever...but unfortunately I still live in the sticks of Dinwiddie with dial up...and on my tiny teacher's salary I cannot afford faster...so it takes me forever to navigate around!

Hey Chuck! He told me he sees you. I told him to pass on my phone number to you, so the next time you see him tell him never mind we found a better way (Ha! Ha!)

Alton,
That is a great idea! Sounds like you're speaking of a instant message type arrangement. That would actually take more time than I have right now, HOWEVER...it may be something we can get done AFTER the reunion. I'll keep you updated on that.

Okay... Rodney, Trina, Tee, anyone else who was on our 9th grade trip to Canada-- I don't know why I thought about this, but you've got to remember "Help me, Help me... I'm stuck in the bathroom!!"

Oh yes Shena, I remember that trip to Canada! I remember saying I would never ride a train again!! :-) I remember different girls and boys "hooking up" with each other. That train ride was so long we had to keep ourselves occupied. The girls would sit with the boy that they liked. Too funny!

See I was just waiting for Tiffany to get on board before I brought up that trip. Every time I see Mrs. Taylor to this day...I say that to her. That was the funniest thing in the world all thanks to David Bunch for locking her in there and to Rodney who kept on and on and on and on....Miss. Taylor...help me help me, I's stuck in the bathroom. As Rodney would say you have to add some Kuntry behind it.

I do still have my scrapbook of that trip so I will need to get on the ball and scan those pictures.

Yes the train ride was 13 hours, remember it clearly.

I didn't go to Canada, but that would have been a trip. Good to see some old Sunnyside names popping up! Were is Tee????? Hey Shena...how long has it been? Were you in Mrs. Rainey's third grade class when we had to get our mouths washed out with soap for saying Shut Up?? Kids in school today just don't get it!! My memory is so bad.....I want to hear more!

06/12/08 11:32 AM #231

Shena Crittendon

Hey JJ! I think I was in Mrs. Rainey's class with you. Of course, you and I were such good girls, we NEVER got our mouths washed out... she just never caught us. LOL

Pam, you might not want to bring that up with Tiffany. She might still be salty over the whole being locked in the bathroom thing. But it was HILARIOUS!!! "Ms. Taylor... somebody PLEASE help me!!"

We were in French class. Je m'appelle Miquel.

06/12/08 01:37 PM #237

Rodney Smith

Yeah Mike. Je m'appelle JACQUES. Comment-allez vous!
Ecoute et repeate...its all coming back

The trip to Canada was 9th grade FRENCH. Mrs. Taylor, Ms. Hoffler (I believe) were chaperones. Forget about Tiffany in the bathroom (Don't get me wrong cause THAT was funny) I have (3) distinct memories.

1)Almost getting hit by the train before we even left because I was standing too close to the track.

2) Tee Jones, Terry Hoffler (remember Terry) and myself were roommates. Tripp Marable slips into our room while we were out (don't ask me how I don't know). Grows a tail in the bathroom. And turns on the HOT water in the shower. The steam mixes with the aroma he left and spreads throughout the room. Our room stank, YES I SAID STANK, for hours. We still owe you for that one Tripp!

3) There was a hallway security guard posted outside our rooms at night to ensure that the boys stayed in their room and girls in theirs. Well they should have put the girls on the opposite side of the hall. Why? Because Terry and I climbed across two balconies to get to one of the girls' rooms. We lightly tapped on the window on and off for about 5 minutes which obviously SCARED THE SH-TUFF out of all of them. Tee called them back from our room to let them off the hook. We eventually went inside and bugged out for a minute before we left. Who was in that room girls? Pam help me out, do you remember?

Me llamo es Julietta. Guess that is why I don't remember trip to Canada. Does anyone remember the El Espanol exam in ninth grade that created such a controversy???? I think Rick Vaughan could shed some light on that....

I am rolling on the Canada trip. Rodney, I remember you all sneaking over the balcony. Some of us were in adjoining rooms. I remember Pam, Shena, and Lottie, but I don't know who else. I do however remember the PILLOW FIGHT!! We snuck into the room on Shena and Lottie I think ... Shena was fighting like we were real burglars trying to steal something!!! That was a great trip ... Rodney, do you remember putting paper in my mouth while I was asleep on the bus?!!!

06/12/08 02:01 PM #240

Michael Bowen

I can't believe that they let us go with only 2 chaperons. If That was all we had. I don't remember any other adult on the trip. I do remember someone climbing the balcony's from room to room. And I think we all tried to leave our room after hours. I think we were trying the divide and conquer method.

I was driving from DC to Richmond about 10 years ago and this guy blew by me in a Thunderbird. He then slowed down, pulled right next to me and shot me the bird. I was outraged until I saw him laughing, it was SL.

We still talk on ocassion, I sent him an email with the site last night.

BTW, Ernie W. is on LinkedIn. I sent him a message with the site URL.
