Vanessa Gilchrist (Singleton) I'm sitting here reading all of the fond memories you all have and I feel sooo left out! I guess that's what I get for trying to date an upper classman(or should I say GRADUATE)at that time! I can barely remember anything exciting about DCHS!!! For a million dollars, I can't even remember one name of any of my teachers! What's up with that???

Oh goodness, Rodney, I always knew you were a cut-up in school. I almost spit out my Purple Passion when I read that (and almost choked on a 90 proof grape). You are right. I cannot wait for the election to be over so that one of the current candidates will rescue us and take us back to the days of $2 gas, an overvalued housing market ($480K for a 40 yr old, 1800sf, 4 BR/2 BA, never remodeled in Woodbridge, VA or $500K for a 3BR shack in San Diego) and jobs for all. Hmmm, I thought the unemployment rate was supposed to be the amount of able bodied workers looking for work but unable to find work? Who is that rebel out there posting those crazy “Help Wanted” signs in store windows and posting jobs in the want ads? Must be those silly pranksters that would rather receive state benefits instead of subjecting themselves to a job in which they feel is below them. I am trying to remember the last time I saw an immigrant standing on the corner with a “will work for food” sign. Keep it up and I shall personally request that the one and only Master Orator from DHS enter the fracas. I am referring to Mason Coleman of course! Seriously! Mason, you were no joke when you stood up to speak! Whether you were reenacting a speech (still remember your “I have a dream” speech) or just giving a presentation, you owned the floor!

Just messing with you Rodney! I had considered a quote from a very wise man, Samuel L Jackson aka Jules in Pulp Fiction, “Oh, you were finished. Well then, allow me to retort.”

And what’s up with dissing Hoover? He promoted prohibition, didn’t take the recommended legislative action in attempts to end The Great Depression, raised tariffs to record levels stifling trade and raised income tax from about 25% to over 60% or so……Oh, um, yeah…., I guess you have a point on that one. I concede the point to the gentleman doing such an outstanding job on this website!

Ray Soloe how are you doing? When I saw your picture I was like man that’s Jeff Garcia. I can not think of a particular thing that you did but man I do remember that you always kept me laughing in our classes. I was like Ray is crazy and funny!!!!! It's good to see that you are doing well.

Rodney…..Don’t forget the FBLA trip to Roanoke……. What a blast we knew how to throw a party back in the day. LOL

I just want to know where was I when all these trips were being taken?? Maybe I was hungover from the pp party or I was not popular enough to take these trips or smart enough.Maybe its because after 7 grade my parents didnt want me to go to JR high so they sent me to a private school for 2yrs hoping I would become a saint..YEH well we know that didnt happen. I missed out on JR years see i could have been there having guys climb into my room I will try to forgive my parents for that one..

Al, you dont have to make us feel dumb thanks very much. I had to read that post like 10 times to kinda get it...

C'mon Al. If I was a cut-up then that makes you a stand-up comedian. As for politics, I could care less. THEY'RE ALL CROOKS. As for Hoover, my grandmother was a teenager during his administration. She said that she clearly remembered stories of people eating animals that we would never think of just to get by. Horses, dogs, etc. I know, YUCK! It's true that I WASN'T THERE so I DON'T KNOW, but in my mind, American citizens eating pets because they HAVE TO probably makes you the worst President ever. Until now of course.

EPILOGUE: "ENGLISH MF....DO YOU SPEAK IT! Well then you understand what I'm saying?"

Hey Al,
I see Rhonda often in JC Penney at Southpark. I am going to work on her. Mark is in Texas doing school for Physician Assistant or something like that?? She and their 2 girls live on Courthouse up from High School. Alicia is a Dr. of some sort in North Carolina...has lots of kids. I know someone who can get in touch with her...I will call her and see if I can get her number or email!! I think Tripp stays in touch with Barry...I called Tripp yesterday and gave him whatfore about the site...hope we will see him on soon and he can get in touch with Barry!!

Hello again all...

Al, I can't wait to see you and Ray together again. That should be lots of fun for everyone.

I thought I saw Mark Gunn at the dance recital for my niece. It might have just been his dad...all of those Gunns look alike. I also saw Brian Slayden at that thing and I told him about the site.

I don't know where Barry Butterworth is...maybe David Bunch would know since he is a sheriff for Dinwiddie and probably has a better idea than most of us.
